Second visit here for afternoon tea - everything was nice apart from the awful scones! They had obviously been micro waved but they were dry, stodgy and tasteless. It a shame as we enjoyed our last afternoon tea here very much.
It can’t be too difficult to make fresh scones each day. I don’t think Ill be back.

We were bought this as a gift and used it today.
The staff were great we both had 2 drinks each but were not charged for the extra one.
We were asked if we didn’t like any of the sandwiches so extra of another could be given.

All the other food on the menu looked great.
No complaints !

Vsited on 30th March (Good Friday) at around 2pm. We got a table easily which was good considering we had a small child with us. We were given menus and then we waited. And waited some more. i had to ask to order as we sat for 15 minites waiting for someone to take our order. The waitress’ were not too busy as they had started to clear tables but they just ignored us. Eventually someone came to take our order. Once we had ordered it didn't take long for the food to arrive - however we had asked for a plastic cup for the little one, which was forgotten and part of our food order was left in the kitchen - we had to ask where it was.

It’s a shame as the food itself was pretty good but the service would stop me returning anytime soon

Had afternoon tea for two with groupon voucher for £19. We actually shared between three and it was enough for lunch. Nice sandwiches mixture of white and brown bread, salmon and cream cheese, ham and mustard, chicken pesto and sundried tomato and egg mayo. Actually allowed us to swap the cucumber sandwich for extra chicken. Two fruit scones and two plain scones with plenty butter, jam and cream. Wee eclairs, carrot cake, chocolate cake, mini Victoria sponge and fruit fool slice. Free refills of hot drinks. Yes very nice. Was busy says you dont need to book but we ended up on a wee table by the door a bit draughty so book if you can a table in the middle or nearer the back.
