Clean, comfortable apartment, perfectly placed for exploring Edinburgh. We were away for a few days following our wedding, and were greeted with a card and a bottle of prosecco which was an unexpected treat! An excellent welcome folder gave us directions to all the main spots in town, as well as pub and restaurant recommendations, taxi phone numbers etc. Couldn't fault anything. Definitely worth a stay!

Brilliant apartment in excellent location. It was really well equipped, beautifully clean and very attractively decorated. Moira (the owner) was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic stay in Edinburgh and hope to go back again one day.
The apartment is beautifully decorated, very safe, and has one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Moira is lovely also.
The apartment is located very close to the Royal Mile and everything that is great about Edinburgh.
Moira has decorated the apartment delightfully to make you feel at once on vacation (it has a real international flair) and thoroughly relaxed (lovely lighting accents). My elderly parents and I took advantage of the close proximity of shops (Sainsbury's is 2 min walk away, and a lovely French bakery is just a 10 min walk on Victoria street) to enjoy breakfast and dinner in the flat. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again-- in fact, I'm saving it on my favourites list-- as it's an easy walk to most attractions and you really feel part of the community.

Owner Moira's charming rental is a quite good value for this area. You have to understand that Edinburgh is a fairly expensive city. Certainly not New York or London or Tokyo, but a far away site on the budget-scale from West Virginia, say. And it suited well our mode of travel. Two flights up on oft-traveled concrete stairs, 29 Lauriston Street seemed an oasis after a day's adventure exploring. Snug but well appointed kitchen, hot-water soothing shower, comfy bed. Fast internet with no hiccups.
And close in: Edinburgh Castle perhaps 10 minutes of walking, St Giles church a little farther. At the end of our stay we trundled suitcases along a mainly level though unevenly paved route to Haymarket station, in a Scottish drizzle, for maybe 15 minutes.
We would return to Moira's apartment in a heartbeat.
