For our first visit to the city this flat is in an excellent location backing onto an historic churchyard and facing the National Museum of Scotland. It is easy walking to sites and buses are very handy. The welcome to the flat was excellent and easily arranged to meet our travel plans. The flat was spotless, warm, and had pretty well all the modern comforts and essentials we could need for a stay of almost a week. It is evident that a lot of care and attention to detail has been used in renovating this almost 200 year old flat. It is in a lively area which is all part of the vibrancy of Edinburgh and we enjoyed that more than being in quiet suburb.
The area has an excellent mix of eating and drinking places and food shops are very handy if, like us you eat in occasionally. (The kitchen is very well equipped even having a liquidizer).
We thought the flat represented very good value for a high quality product. We would return and would recommend it to family and friends.

We rented this beautiful Edinburgh flat for 8 nights over the Hogmanay Celebrations. The property was immaculate (newly renovated) but still maintained some of its original historic charm. It was much more spacious than the photos would suggest.

I worried that a location right by the Castle or the Grassmarket would be better, however, this was the 'best' location to see the city. It was a 5 minute walk to the Castle or the Royal Mile in a beautiful historic neighbourhood. Everything we needed to see was within walking distance.

The flat was fully equipped. The owner, Axel, is very attentive to every detail and even provided some basic essentials like milk, juice, cheese, fruit and bread to get us started. Once we booked the property, Axel contacted us immediately and provided exceptional suggestions and service even prior to our arrival. It was like a home away from home. We would like to come back to Scotland and would definitely stay at 2 Greyfriars Place!

Recently decorated and lovely clean apartment, kitchen complete with everything you could need, it was perfect for our four day stay in Edinburgh. All attractions within walking distance so fantastic location. Owner was very helpful providing essential groceries and recommending good local restaurants. Wi-fi was also available. Definitely would recommend a stay here.

Overall great value for money and better than a Hotel!
