Popped in out of rain. There are dog friendly areas. Excellent coffee served with a piece of fudge. The fruit scone cans warmed and was superb. Served with butter and cream with strawberries that actually tasted of strawberry! Staff are purposeful and efficient. We sat in the bar area which had tv screen and local radio which was on a little too loud for our ears. This was the only small negative. Car park 20p for 4 hours. Toilet access down some steps.

As a family we were in the middle part of the restaurant, there was a television on and it was LOUD, there was a door between us, it still very noisy. Do not go when there is a football match on, our mistake. The food variety was good and nicely presented and reasonably priced. They have a good friendly staff.

Had the Cajun chicken burger which was a bit heavy on the seasoning and over done but the chips were nice. Hubby had the fish pie which he loved but burnt his finger on the skillet it came in. Waitress forgot to tell him it was roasting and yes he probably should have known but it should have been pointed out as a precaution. Desserts were yummy. Don't think I would come back as we came because of the reviews but it wasn't great.

Very well presented food. My wife had 4 cheese macaroni with roasted vine tomatoes and a mini garlic loaf served in a cast frying pan. Plenty of helpful and friendly staff.
