This hotel is a five to ten minute walk of Oban's centre. The staff were pleasant and helpful the room was tidy and comfortable if a little drab with views over an opposing wall. The same goes with the en-suite. The breakfast was a help yourself buffet and there was a good choice. The one thing that bugged me about this hotel was the music that was played in all communal areas. Warbling female solos (think Maria Carey or Celine Dion) constantly. So much so that I left breakfast early. All music will upset some people. There's no need for it in a hotel!

Lied about price. I was charged £100 for a tiny, single room on top floor. I have video showing sheets were blood-stained. So obvious, maid could not fail to notice. Desk-top, not cleaned properly. Kettle but no mains water. Also have photo of breakfast. Almost inedible. Firstly, for that exorbitant price, it was self-service. Mess where cereal was dispensed. Bacon, stone cold. Last two congealed fried eggs in grease. Black pudding, undercooked as was sausage. Tomato, mushrooms, cold. Toaster, broken. No real milk. I handed complaint list to manager and was told I would be called that day (four days ago now) and no one called. Be warned. Keep well away!

Room tip: Anywhere but this place.

We stayed 1 night on 10th May. We were on a deal. Everything was very good especially for a deal. The room was clean and comfortable. The food also very good and sitting eating looking out at water was lovely. Hotel in a great location - Close to town. The staff were very nice and helpful. we really enjoyed our time here and will go back again if in that area

Just finishing a three night break at the hotel. Value for money was excellent. Made aware that pool being refurbished and out of commission till end of May. Allocated a room in chalet block at rear of hotel. Large room with bath robes and slippers provided. Only adverse complaint is in relation to dining room. Very well turnished but disappointed With plastic water jugs and inferior quality napkins. Only three choices of main course, but why are two of them gush, one being cod in a sauce and the other buttered haddock. Come on, this is not rocket science, Could also spend some time giving bar staff proper training. They should not be left on their first night to 'flounder' on their own. Time for management to step up and give proper training.

We visited this hotel on the 10th of May, it was booked as a birthday gift. We travelled as a couple. We arrived approx. 14.00pm the room was not quite ready, but we were welcomed shown to the lounge and did not have long to wait. The room was very big and had 3 single beds in it. The evening meal was excellent as was the breakfast. The only disappointment was we had been advised that there was entertainment every evening from 8.30pm to 10.30pm this was also in the letter contained in the welcome pack in the room, when we enquired at the reception as to were to go for this we were advised there was nothing arranged for that night. Although it did not spoil our trip (we went out) it was not what we expected. The staff were lovely and very helpful and I would recommend the hotel.
