The place as a whole had an atmosphere and the prices of a double gin were around £4 what is great for the center of town. However i heard great things about the wild boars food, three of us got mac and cheese because i feel its always a good safe option in pub grub. It was tasteless, no cheese on it, it actually tasted smokey what i was concerned with as i am veggie. Have no idea what they made it with because ive tasted tin food better. Real shame.

Wild Boar is a nice place. Everything you'd like to find in a restaurant. Food is good, but probably not extraordinary. Prices are probably cheap, but still not really for Easter Europe. Atmosphere is fine, but maybye too eclectic. Still a good and secure way to go to! You shouldn't be dissapointed.

Two friends and myself went for lunch - pleasant decor and comfortable seating. Food was disappointing - Chicken and bacon ciabatta - the bun was hard and dry, chicken (possibly just defrosted ) was tasteless and the bacon resembled a strip of greasy cardboard. After trying to be polite and not complaining, we decided that enough was enough. We returned our plates to the member of staff, and to be fair, they were taken back without question and were offered something else. We decided on the Seafood Platter to share, which, once it arrived, was nicely presented, hot and tasty.

Not sure about rushing back !!!

We were there twice while staying in Aberdeen. The choice of food and drinks is absolutely perfect. We tried several types of beer and of course tried the food, which was really very good. I had the haggis and really enjoyed it! Great location for having dinner or just a drink.

Was late when we finally arrived in Aberdeen, The wild boar was open, and their music wasn't blaring so in we went. Best meal we have had in Scotland to date. Good honest food, reasonable prices, and grrat serves.
