Stayed at the Merchant on a Sunday night. Nice friendly staff. A bit of a pain when the keycards wouldn’t work twice, but it was sorted quick enough. Beautiful rooms. Food was good, but the staff stood out for me. They couldn’t be more helpful. I’ll stay there again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Myself and best friend book for one night on the autumn deal! From we arrived Sarah on the reception desk couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful!
We where shown to our room by Jonny who was also very helpful!
The room was just perfect! It had everything you needed and more. The television had a great choice of movies to watch and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud!
The roof top Hot Tub was lovely, on a cold evening with a glass of champagne and great views of Belfast!
The room service was fantastic- with them bringing in the table and setting it up to perfection!
The breakfast was also perfect- With a great choice for everyone.

The staff in the hotel where all fabulous and couldn’t have done enough for us!

Only issue was I would have liked a bigger towel and that was me really trying to think of something wrong! Thank you for a lovely stay! Worth every penny and we will definitely be back!

I highly recommend the great room at the merchant, it's opulent and oozes class and sophistication, the food and service are faultless and I recommend the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairing. This is definitely for that special occasion.

Stayed here one Saturday night recently. It was fantastic to be told on checking in at reception that we had been upgraded to the last available Art Deco room, and for a nice friendly young chap to carry our bags to our room.

And what a room!! Those seductively lit corridors adorned with images of Cabaret-style temptresses led us to our very snazzy room with massive comfy bed, huge spotless bathroom, separate sitting area with lovely furniture and not one but TWO 40" plus flat screen TVs. Really good wetroom-style shower with big rain shower head, double sink & signature toiletries.

Staying in the hotel it was really nice to be able to just dander down the stairs/lift to the sumptuous for a properly-made cocktail...or two! And coming back from a night out on the town, the same again for a relaxing nightcap on the way back up to our room.

Next morning after a perfectly air-conditioned sleep (something a lot of hotels can't seem to quite master?), we gorged on a fabulous cooked breakfast in the Great Room - you will not experience this level of morning service anywhere else!!

All topped off with a late checkout!! Wish we could have stayed at least another night.

We stay in hotels at some point every week and have wanted to stay here each time we visit Belfast but have never managed to get get a reservation, What a fabulous hotel. this will now be the regular place. The only criticism we had was the lack of parking at the front door whilst loading and unloading the car, apart from that we found the entire visit exceptional. Check my Tripadvisor history, I rarely lavish such complements!

Reception is efficient and very professional. The concierge superb together with the porter/baggage service. The various lounges and bars are an absolute delight, with great food and swift service. Good wine list too, which is rare in NI. The large double room was excellent, quiet and warm. First class bed and bed linen made for an excellent nights sleep. As you would expect the bathroom and the bottled amenities were high quality.
It is an expensive hotel but you get what you pay for!
