Was recommended this place by the hotel I was stopping at, only went in to watch the football but there was an acoustic set on and happy hour, the musician was brilliant and the atmosphere was great. Ended eating here ordered chicken skewers, did not expect a giant hanging skewer with one of the best gravy/ sauces I have ever had! Really nice laid back place good food and cheap beer what more could you want!

The bread a soup home made and outstanding! the chips were enormous chunks of potato, and the fish was very well cooked and a decent portion. the live music was also exceptional. i truly cannot wait to find an excuse to go back. thanks and great service!

Over for girly weekend had a fabulous meal in the Cloth Ear. Pub food at its very best the Shepards pie and Chicken curry were amazing and great choice for my Veggie daughter. Lovely staff and nuce cocktails. Irish hospitality at its finest

Just happened to be passing and heard this amazing music so went in and ending up having a meal and stayed until their set end. Unpretentious food, decent quality. I recommend the gluten free fish and chips (not that I'm gluten free, just chose not to have batter!)
Sorry, don't know the band's name but the guitar playing was superb and particularly appreciated by a group out on a hen party who danced for a while before moving on.
Query over wine selection was dealt with well, with a small taster being brought prior to ordering.

Hadn't been to The Cloth Ear for sometime. My friends and I were in for an early tea and were terribly disappointed with both service and quality of food. Competition is now rife in Belfast with so many top class restaurants. The Cloth Ear needs to be aware as we will not be returning and would not reccommend.
