“Didn't want to leave - what a place !”
Reviewed 29 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This is truly a wonderful property, that you would not be disappointed in booking. It has a spacious kitchen / dining area making it wonderful to dine as a family, a cosy lounge with Sky TV, and the house is just so spacious, that even as an extended family group and 2 dogs, we never felt cramped. The bedrooms are spacious and luxurious with plenty of space for your belongings, the hotel style hangers and luxury bath robes, and spa slippers make it feel more like a 5 star hotel rather than a self catering house. Little things like the plug socket being near a mirror to style your hair, have not been overlooked, as well as supplying a hairdryer and hair straighteners - tiny things that do not matter to most, make the stay more comfortable - a real home from home.
If you have a dog in tow, there is no better place! An outdoor kennel with enclosed area, or just to take them down to the stream to play, plus the huge garden area, and even agility equipment!! My dog did not want to leave either. A huge dog crate was provided, as I can't trust my dog not to chew :) and the memory foam mattress was just ace, and she would just take herself off to it during the evening - testament that they are comfy!! An outdoor shower with hot water and doggy shampoo and conditioner meant that I could return home with a wonderful rhubarb-smelling pooch :) If you have a dog that runs off and can fit through hedgerow, you will need to supervise, as the garden is not fenced, this was not a problem to us, but having previously owned a houdini terrier, this would have posed a challenge!
For the grown ups, the entertainment cabin with large screen, Sky, and wood burner, was ace, and the hot tub was just awesome. The canopy above, meant we could enjoy it in a rain shower!!!
A lovely playroom with board games, puzzles etc. kept my 4 year old entertained.
The owner is lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her. She came out several times during our stay, and was super helpful. She really has thought of everything you need.
Weighing scales so I could weigh out my dog food, and corkscrew for the wine - there was nothing that even my critical side could find fault with :)
We will be returning Summer 2017, and can't wait.
A beautiful location, with fabulous dog walks, and the town centre of Brecon is a 9 minute drive away, so you can get all your provisions.

“Beyond amazing.....”
Reviewed 3 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The property is so peaceful, from the moment you step into this beautiful home you feel relaxed. The quality of the home, the gardens and special touches left us not wanting to leave. This house leaves you feeling like you have been away a month even though we were there for four nights. Our young son enjoyed the gardens, whilst the inside provided us with the best hide and seek game ever. Highly recommend the hot tub, bbq and wonderfully catered kitchen. We will be back...... Nowhere else will be able to compare to the fantastic time spent here. Thanks to Helen who has thought of everything and more for making our holiday a home from home.

“A magical and wonderful holiday house”

A magical house in a beautiful tranquil place. Great accommodation with furnishing and fittings to the highest quality. The showers were great and the hot tub was amazing with Bluetooth music so you can stream your own tracks through its speakers. The kitchen had all pots, pans and utensils you might want. Oh the towels and bathrobes were pure luxury, super thick and soft. The owner, Helen, has thought of everything. Very friendly and helpful owner providing information on the local area and a lovely goody basket full of treats. Perfect place for a family holiday (lots of space) with big gardens, a play room, and a daddy den in the garden with arcade machine and big tv.

“Stunning house, perfect location and 5* service.”

The cottage is in stunning grounds adjacent to the river, a few miles from Brecon. The area is quiet and rural and was perfect for us and the kids. The house is large and spotless, beautifully decorated with the highest quality materials and furnishings. With a craft and games/ cinema room, we all had places to retreat if required. Helen, the host was attentive but not intrusive and was always on call if required. I really can't speak highly enough of this beautiful cottage and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends.
Brecon is fairly quiet but we managed to fill a week with our children and always found new places to see and activities to do, such as the show caves (and dinosaurs), waterfalls, country park, Crickhowell, Cardiff and Craig y nos.
