We came here for a quick break with our daughters who were keen to do some "wild camping". The campsite is brilliant for that; only 11 pitches scattered amongst woods and fields so that there is complete privacy. The facilities are basic, but that added to the adventure feel, with compost toilets (and I think a cold shower, but only staying for a couple of nights we didn't use this). Camp fires are allowed and we sat happily cooking over ours, enjoying the wonderful views from our pitch whilst the horse and numerous sheep came up to nosey. The owners are super friendly and the place has a great feel to it.
This is so different to most campsites and we hope to come back again soon.
Location is absolutely beautiful! Great access to Black Mountains where we walked for hours. If you are looking for a good place to stay while still experience some nice hikes that is place for you.
Bunkhouse is very cozy and got a best in the world gas fireplace, which doesn't look like gas one at all and you can warm yourself by it for hours and not worry about wood.
The owner, Richard is a lovely guy who gave us lots of tips about paths and trails.
Very near by there is a beautiful lake sourounded by grassy hills - very charming place.
Also farm itself is lovely and very down to earth.
I can recommend it in every aspect!
