“Perfect for our family group, generous sized bedrooms and 3 bathrooms”
Reviewed 29 April 2013 for a stay in October 2012

We stayed during October Half Term to visit our daughter at Aber Uni. The house was perfect for our family group with teenage daughters and parents. The kitchen was very well equipped, beds comfortable made up with quality linen and 3 bathrooms were a bonus. A fireplace or electric fire would benefit the spacious lounge in the winter months. The location was quiet and picturesque, Marilyn was very generous with all her goodies, Thank you

Thank you for your constructive criticism on the need for a fireplace in the lounge. I will certainly endeavor to install one by next winter as the lounge is very large and needs something to make it a bit more snug.

“Spacious, comfortable, clean, quiet and great view”
Reviewed 17 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We only stayed a few days off season but it was such a pleasant place to stay we wished we could have stayed longer. The house is large and comfortable and well appointed. We have previously stayed at Derwen cottage which is owned by the same people so we knew it would be spotless and comfortable.

It's a bit tricky to find the first time; I recommend arriving in daylight if you are not familiar with the area.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I was absolutely delighted that you chose to return for a second visit to another of my cottages and so pleased to welcome you and your family who are such considerate and lovely people. I try and give the best directions possible but the rural locations can indeed be difficult to find the first time.

“Superb Top Quailty Cottage with Outstanding Hospitality”
Reviewed 3 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

We took an extended Family of 10 people including 4 Adults and a mixture of 6 Neices & Nephews aged between 7 yrs old up to 22 yrs old. We stopped over between 29th March till 1st April over Easter Weekend. This property was in absolutely Top Quality condition with a high standard of decorative finishing. It is set in a beautiful location in amongst hills and nearby farms in a small village. The views from the front are to "Die For" and a re a real sight for sore eyes whether its early or late in the day. The Property caters for everything and is very warm, providing 2 ensuite double bedrooms that were perfect for the two couple in our party as well as a seperate family bathroom and an additional toilet/utility/laundry room downstairs. The Large Lounge was perfect in that it was very spacious and also had very comfortable clean seating/sofas. The Kitchen & Dining Area were great and the ladies were very pleased with the space available to make any and all preperations. Everything just seemed ever so clean and tidy.

The Parking is great and although we took a 12 seater minibus you can easily park upto around 5 vehicles easily in and around the cottages driveway which is all off road.

The Owners were very very hospitable and by accident I ended up at their personal home by typing in the wrong postcode in my SatNav.... LOL.... Mr Jones was carry out some works there and advised me that I was at the wrong address but instead of merely re-directing me he downed his tools and drove us to the cottage which was around 15 mins away and at least 10 miles away. Now you cant ask for more than that can you!!!

We were greated by Mrs Jones who handed over the keys and welcomed all the family to the cottage and gave us a quick breifing on things to do and the information that she had collected and made vailable to us with Leaflets and maps regarding things to do for during our stay. She had even took the liberty to stock the fridge with essentials such as milk, eggs, bread and butter as well as a bowl of fruit which was very kind and thoughtful.

On occasion I had reason to contact her via phone and she was very helpful and gave me great advise about the area.

It is situated very conveniently near Aberyswyth Beach and Borth too, there is shed loads to do within a 10 - 15 min drive and a lot less, there is Devils Bridge nearby, the Silver Mountain, Hafod Country Park, Animalarium, Activity Centre, Horse Riding, Butterfly Centre, Museums, Castle Ruins and many Counry walks to enjoy. We could have easily stayed for a whole week and had activities to do each day without getting bored.

All in All the Kids absolutely Loved the Place and are already wanting to plan another trip here again. 5 Star Cottage and Owners who made a real impression on us all.

THANK YOU so much for your complimentary review and for being the absolute perfect guests at our house, it was truly a pleasure to meet you all and lovely to see the delight in the children. It makes all the hard work we put into building the house and into running the holiday let worthwhile. We are indeed very lucky to live in such a beautiful area and will strive to improve and add to the facilities at the house. THANK YOU.

It was a pleasure to meet these lovely visitors who left my property in a well cared for state. I do hope they will wish to return in the near future, in nicer weather as I am sure they, along with the children, would love the beautiful walks in the area. I thank them sincerely.

“Our Best New Year break so far.”
Reviewed 7 January 2013 for a stay in December 2012

Thank you for letting us use your lovely house. We had a wonderful New Year with friends. The house is well equipped and the views are magnificent, exceeding all expectations.

There are some good walks and places to visit, so plenty to do whatever the weather. The local pub (The Druids Head) is well worth a visit, good food and pleasant staff.

We shall certainly want to book again.
