Room clean and functional, staff OK, but overall very impersonal. Cooked Breakfast was pretty awful, sausages bland and overcooked, no flavour to the bacon. If you want breakfast go somewhere else. Otherwise hotel in good central location

Stayed 18/19 May,reception staff very pleasant and polite, room was ok but very warm, don’t think hot towel rail or the lovely weather helped either but there was a fan in the wardrobe which helped a lot,bath/shower could of been cleaner didn’t notice till we had a shower but there was scum at the bottom of shower door, breakfast was nice albeit very hot in there till staff opened the door,Jackson’s bar excellent,Ian the bar manager was here, there and everywhere making sure everything was running as it should and is a credit to the hotel,I grew up in the pub game and I’d employ him without any qualms and finally the bowls of chips are devine, will be returning in August hopefully.

Having stayed at this hotel several times over the years and being more than happy with it sadly this time we have been very disappointed.
The hotel is clean and functional enough but something essential has been lost. No longer is it the friendly, homely efficient establishment we remember, it is as if things are being run at a very basic level.
Staff are few and far between doing the jobs of several people. The service at Jackson’s was appallingly slow, the poor barman was valiantly trying to juggle everything on his own, he was a lovely guy but he had far too much on his plate and it was chaos, we felt heart sorry for him.
Even the lovely breakfast has been cut back and lost its personal touch.
Sorry Northwick but we’ll be going elsewhere when we return ext year.

Reading some of the reviews, I wonder if we stayed at the same place as some of the other reviewers?
We stayed two nights at the Northwick Hotel as it was reasonably close to the Malvern Spring Festival without being priced for the Festival. We found the hotel very good value for money, there were four of us, and easy to find.
It is not a modern hotel structurally, but set on a nice location. Waterside address is exactly what it is. The staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient, nothing being too much trouble. We ate in the Restaurant on Saturday night. The food was excellent, and plenty of it. The young waiter was very attentive and professional even though he had only been there three days.
The rooms were clean but the towel rail in the bathroom was on full blast even though the valve had been screwed down tight, so possible 'elf & safety' for children. Beds were comfortable and very little noise after the Bar closed. Only used the Bar in the afternoon so cannot comment although they do serve Butcombe Ales. Plus point.
Loads of car-parking space.
In all, a conveniently placed establishment for most of the South Midlands, for those who do not demand champagne service at beer prices! Yes, would use it again.

Room Tip: Quietest rooms overlook car-park. Avoid rooms overlooking courtyard on warm summer evenings as not all guests are reasonable.

Room clean, little dated but functional.
Website is a little misleading there is no cocktail bar. Jackson's Pub good value and courtyard is a good suntrap and escape from popular busy garden although despite saying open until 11pm refused a nightcap at 10:50 told till had been cashed off! Found staff generally friendly. Heating on whole time in bathroom and corridors in +23* heat which seemed odd. Breakfast included not a local sausage as described on menu. Found 8 - 9.30 for a lazy Sunday breakfast on a bank holiday quite restrictive and most things had run down or packed away by 9.30. Would stay again, but not for the price we paid.
