“Cosy cottage in lovely surroundings”
Reviewed 12 August 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We stayed four nights but would have loved longer! Frog cottage is rustic from the outside but has been extremely tastefully done inside, with all mod cons. It's cosy and has a stunning main bedroom, plus another nice one. There's a very pleasant cottage garden with a good summerhouse too.
We took our bikes and did a couple of local rides along lovely rivers - routes easily found on Internet. There's a lovely nature reserve with large lake a short cycle or 15 min walk away, a very pleasant pub/restaurant overlooking the water, which is just a three minute walk away. The kitchen in the cottage was so well equipped we even stayed in for dinner!
Salisbury is a short drive away, you can cycle or walk across national trust land to Stonehenge, thus avoiding the bad traffic on that road.
We absolutely loved our days here and would recommend it to anyone wanting peace and quiet in a beatiful area with lots to do.

“Lovely cottage in quiet village near Salisbury”
Reviewed 24 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

This is an excellent place to stay. As other visitors have stated it is a very nice cottage in a nice setting. The cottage is very clean and very cosy. We traveled in February and the cottage became very warm especially when we lighted the log burner. The owner was also quick to deal with a minor issue that I created in a pleasant and supportive way, we fully recommend the cottage . The bedrooms are nice, the bath is great and big and the cottage is very clean. We used it as a base to visit Salisbury, Stonehenge, Wells, Bath and Winchester. All within easy drive; tip , take the bus to visit Salisbury on market day with the locals. The bus stop is only 25 yards from the cottage

No real negatives part from poor wifi and unfortunately the shower is temperamental . We had no problem with mobile phone connections and used our phone to access the internet.

“Nice cottage, great fire”
Reviewed 3 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Booked the cottage for the New Year and our parents had their dog. Lovely cottage everything you could possibly need. The photos of the largest bedroom do not do it justice, it's very big and lovely.

The only small negative, between us we had three different mobile phone providers and we couldn't get signal on any of our phones. The wifi didn't work very well so made it difficult to make calls to book restaurants, etc. if the wifi could be upgraded that would really help. Especially if you had an emergency.

“Lovely welcoming and comfortable cottage”

Steeple Langford is a very attractive and tranquil village sitting alongside the pretty river Wylie.
Frog cottage is a welcoming and comfortable cottage with a magnificent fireplace and wood burner to relax in front of after a day enjoying some lovely walks in the area.
The garden is very pretty with a impressive summer house, although October not the month to appreciate it fully.
There was a super welcome hamper with milk, eggs, tea, coffee, croissants, cake and cereal.
The Rainbow Inn just 5mins up the road is very friendly and serves excellent food.
On the road to Hanging Langford( aprox 800 meters away) is the entrance to the Wildlife Trusts Langford Lakes and Wetlands reserve, well worth a visit even if your not a bird watcher.

Lovely cottage, really nicely decorated, clean and cosy, the welcome basket was a lovely touch after a long journey, much appreciated! Some pretty little villages and walks nearby (river walk opposite the entrance to the lakes was great for dogs). Lunch in the pretty garden was great too but would have been easier with the dogs if there was a gate at the bottom. Over all would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.
