Our second visit to this lovely rental and we enjoyed it just as much as our first!
Rachels (the owner) attention to detail is amazing. A lovely welcome is assured and the place has always been thoroughly cleaned.
We love the central location, just 3 minutes walk from the central area of Chichester, and 10 minutes walk to the theatre.
One small bit of advice, if you are a light sleeper some ear plugs may be useful. For the near bye M&S (and other stores), the small road outside is the access for their deliveries, and the early morning lorries can be heard as they rev their engines.
But this takes nothing away from our high rating of this cottage and we have already booked our next stay for December.
This is just the best, we could not fault it for all thoughtful touches that the owner had left. Its beautifully fitted out with flowers everywhere and good quality tea and coffee and food staples to get you going. The house was perfectly situated right in the middle of the old city but situated in a no through street so as quiet as being off a country lane. The shops and the cathedral were just a stroll away as was the Festival Theatre. The little courtyard could accommodate the car and was bathed in sunshine for much of the day and a lovely spot to enjoy your evening glass of wine. Absolutely first class!
Stayed on a freezing cold weekend in March, The Clock House was warm and cosy, could not wish for anything more, property spotlessly clean, everything provided including bread, pastries, tea, coffee and milk so no need to stock up straight away. Fresh flowers in the house etc. Just a hundred yards to the shops in Chichester, yet the location is nice and quiet. Could not have asked for more. Hopefully we will visit again, Thankyou Rachel.
Close to shops, restaurants, spas, walking. This apartment is well and truly catered for all your needs. Fresh flowers in all rooms, chocolates, strawberries, muffins, cakes, milk, bread, butter, stamps, cards, logs for fire, torches by the bed, luxury toiletries, hot water bottles, robes, umbrellas, well fitted kitchen, and hair and beauty on request and more.
Thought through very well and can tell Racheal works hard to make sure your stay is the best she can make it with no expense spared which made you feel very welcome and wanted. Racheal was always at hand if ever you needed her, a true professional at hand. Thank you so much and cant wait to come back.
If you are ever in need of a beautiful, relaxing place to stay in Chichester I can’t recommend The Clock House highly enough. From the warm welcome which included fresh flowers throughout the house, delicious muffins, pastries and basic provisions to the wonderful comfy bed, this is the loveliest self catering establishment I have ever stayed at. The host, Rachel, left a lovely welcome note and stayed in touch during our stay but was in no way intrusive at any point. During our stay the weather was very inclement but the wood burning stove ensured we stayed cosy. Rachel thinks of everything, from providing informative books about Chichester and its surrounds to leaving a bag of those essentials you may have forgotten for you to purchase at very reasonable prices. The towels are thick and fluffy and the robes were very welcome. We were sad to leave at the end of our stay but we left feeling relaxed, pampered and looked after. We will be back.
