Empire Great park, has revamped their waiting area. You can sit here before or after your film in relative comfort, however it may be a bit cold during winter months as no protection from drafts.
Service at the tills is normally fairly quick unless it's peak time... the last minute rush seems unexpected and seems to take them by surprise, then it is slow going and frustrating for people as they can miss the start of the film. But better planning by the patron and allowing extra time just in case would remedy that.
The theatre's are almost always very clean, on the rare occasion not! Very busy peak times during school holidays or long awaited releases seem to cause chaos, but I blame management planning of the rota for that.
There's plenty of toilets available here. Good access for disabled patrons.
Staff will help you carry your purchases if you are struggling, as they don't have trays to offer.
Imax theatre is really good.
All in all not the best theatre I've visited (it was when it first opened as the Virgin cinema) but they are improving and we enjoy it.
You also have good bus connections, close to a morrisons for cheap snacks, close to pubs, restaurants and bowling if you want to make a full day out and adequate parking for up to 5 hours which can be extended if you pop in and make the request.

Travelled over ten miles to watch Mission Impossible Fallout in IMAX 3D ... by far the best cinema I have visited in years ... staff were very helpful and cheerful ... seats were upgraded to premier at no extra cost ... comfortable seats and very clean auditorium... and the film ...out of this world in IMAX 3D ... will be visiting this cinema very soon again with family... highly recommended.

Dirty and under-staffed cinema, queues so long you miss the start of the film. The popcorn tasted moist. Rip off fees to book online. Chavs talking through the entire film with no staff about to tell. Oh and the 3D glasses only had 1 arm in a sealed bag. This place is long past it's best.

Convenient location, service was good from the team. Just seems like they are constantly changing things here and there just to keep up instead of just going “let’s just update the whole thing at once”. For example, self serve ticket machine all in place in front of counter service area. Just rip it out/board it up and do it properly!?

Prices not too bad, and good service on this visit though. Happy day 4 out of 5

The cinema is starting to look tatty in places although some parts appear to have newer seats. Floors were filthy.
When we arrived they were advertising a new sundae, ordered 2 and paid. Were then sent down to ice-cream section for a 10 minute wait to be told they didn't actually have any. Got a refund but a lot of wasted time. No communication between staff.
