We stayed here for one night for a performance at the RSC. We received a really friendly welcome and were greeted with a nice cup of tea and some lovely homemade cakes made by Sue. Simon took us through all of the information about the room and the local area, offering us some local advice on where to go and the best routes to walk round. The room was lovely, really nicely decorated and extremely comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We even had some water left outside our room in the evening. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone planning to go and stay in Stratford.

Sue and Simon have a treasure here. We stayed just one night for the theatre. Ariving in the afternoon after a day's sightseeing on Oxford, we wanted to wind down and relax before heading off to the play. We were welcomed with a lovely cup of tea and home made cakes - the gingerbread was faultless. Our ground floor room was comfortable - the only downside was the decor, which was a bit fussy for our taste. But an excellent modern, clean bathroom; comfortable bed and a great little patio - which we didn't use as it was so cold. In fact Sue & Simon put the heating on which was very welcome. An easy five minutes walk to the theatre. Breakfast was a highlight - lots of choice including lots of veggie options. Fruit juice, fresh fruit salad, juices, breads, jams and spreads, porridge etc. We had french toast with maple syrup, and boiled eggs with soldiers. All really yummy. We will definitely come back here next time we come to Stratford. (Oh, and free parking!)

Room tip: Ground floor room has small private patio.

Thank you for describing us as "Outstanding". We are glad you were able to wind down before the theatre. The gingerbread is popular and rather different for most. It is nice to know you found the room comfortable, but we do appreciate that the decor is not to everyone's taste. So glad the breakfast was a high light. We try to have lots of veggie options. We find once guests have parked there is no need for a car as you can walk to everything easily. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Adelphi. Best wishes Simon and Sue

My Mrs an I stayed here last week just for the on night. On arrival we received a warm welcome and an array of beautiful homemade cakes to help ourselves to whilst the owner Simon took our bags to the room for us.
We found the room spacious and clean. Tea and coffee provided and a flat screen lcd TV. Good shower and bathroom facilities. Parking is also provided.
Breakfast was great with a good selection of other things to choose from other than the usual full english.
We found the owners Sue and Simon extremely genuine and friendly. They created a real Shakespeare feel about the house that gives your stay the extra edge if you were there to visit the theatre.
Would be more than happy to stay here again. Thanks Sue and Simon we wish you all the best.

Thank you for your kind words. We are so pleased you felt "welcome". I'm afraid we are Shakespeare fans so do have lots to do with him and also Stratford. It is always nice to know the breakfast choices are appreciated. We hope next time you may be able to stay a little longer. Best wishes Simon and Sue

Upon arrival Sue and Simon were amazingly friendly and warm. We went for my husband's birthday and Sue very kindly baked a cake for him with a candle on top and Simon made a pot of tea. After settling into our room no.1 it was quite clear this was more a labour of love than a job. Every attention to detail had been thought of in our room from fresh flowers to tea, coffee, hot chocolate and packets of biscuits to lovely smellies in the shower room, even make up remover wipes for the ladies.
Once we settled Simon kindly gave us a very informative talk on where to go, what to see and where the best places were to eat. Very, very helpful.
Breakfast is fresh and well prepared and the choice is amazing. Sue loves to bake and in the hall on the table there is always cakes to help yourself to and fresh fruit. Every night a bottle of chilled water is left outside your room.
Stratford upon Avon is a beautiful place steeped in history and well worth the visit BUT the jewel in its crown is the Adelphi Guest House.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home....it was actually our pleasure.

Thank you. Yes I do love to bake, and it is always a pleasure to make a birthday cake. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. What a lovely accolade "the Jewel in the Crown " of Stratford Upon Avon. Simon and I do try and make sure guests do get to see the sites and find everything easily. It was shame that the weather did not allow you to take full advantage of the patio that leads off Room 1. We do hope our paths cross again. Best wishes Simon and Sue

The room was very clean and had basically everything you needed, everybody was so nice and waiting for you every morning was a traditional English breakfast. Sue and Simon are such nice hosts and they will help you in any way possible, they introduced me to tea with milk!

The wifi is not very good though, it sometimes works and sometimes not.

Room tip: If you hear somebody yelling WATER don't panic, it's just Simon delivering fresh water to your door.
