We found the Greenhill St car park thanks to the directions received on booking - £7 for 24 hours-very good! and then walked the 5 minutes to the hotel.
We received a warm welcome and were delighted with our room (111) which was large, with a lovely big bed, roll top bath and large walk in shower - very comfortable.
We weren't sure where to have our evening meal but decided to eat at the hotel and that was a very wise choice -the restaurant is so historic and beautiful, the service was impeccable and the food was lovely (can't remember having a better fish and chips!).
The breakfast was also very good...help yourself to cereal, juices etc and the your cooked breakfast is cooked to order and was superb!
Everything about this place is impressive - the surroundings, the food, the drink (several real ales) and the staff were all friendly and professional. I can't help thinking we got an absolute bargain staying here and we will return when we fancy another little break. You won't regret booking this place - it's so good!

Dear Derekjf52,

Thank you for your review.

We do what we can to assist all guests, which includes advising of car parking options nearby.

I am delighted to read your welcome was warm, and that you enjoyed the room and facilities inside.

What thrills me the most about your review is that you were able to eat in the evening with us, as well as sampling the breakfast options and that it was all so well delivered and coupled with friendly, professional service.

I am pleased you wish to return, and we look forward to offering another warm welcome.

Regards,

I stayed in the Superior Double Room and it was so beautiful and authentic. It had a big bathroom, plenty of amenities and a separate little dressing room with a big mirror. Had a lovely view out into the centre of Stratford. It was just the best location, it was so central to everything. The breakfast was lovely and they had a lovely selection of fruit and pastries. I highly recommend the vegetarian breakfast.
The music downstairs is on till 11pm (saturday night) which was fine with us but if you're someone who sleeps early or doesn't like loud music, then this isn't for you. I would love to stay here again!

Dear JSK184

Thank you for your review.

I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay, and the room with all of it's character and features.

We are indeed so close to most of the tourist attractions here in the town, and find this is a major plus for our guests.

The music is only 2 Saturdays a month during the winter, and as you say does finish at 11pm.

Our breakfasts are often complimented, and I can add yourselves to the list!

We would love to see you again, in the meantime have a Merry Christmas.

Regards,

Sol

We stayed for two nights in late November. Having paid a bargain price on Black Friday we were slightly concerned that our room may turn out to be disappointing. Just the opposite. We were allocated 109. Large comfy bedroom with excellent modern bathroom. Power shower was outstanding. No view from the room but in November who cares! We ate in the restaurant both nights and were delighted with the quality of food. All staff we met were outstanding in every way. Only downside for us is that we don't live near enough to visit every couple of months. We will definitely return.

When I booked the hotel, I had email communication with Giorgia and Martina at the reception; both were very responsive, helpful, and personal in their emails. We arrived early, and dropped off our backpacks with the help of a friendly staff. We booked a character room, which was beautiful and quite spacious. Even with the history of this hotel, the room (and the hotel) had no unpleasant smell. The room was clean and comfortable. It was cold in the room when we walked in because it's late November, but it warmed up quickly when we turned the thermostat to 23 degrees (this does not happen in every hotel). We did not try dinner here and for breakfast we only had continental because we were short on time. The service and the continental breakfast were both good. Next time we'll be sure to have dinner and also made-to-order breakfast here. The location of this hotel is ideal and all the attractions we went to were within walking distance, including the theatres. I would love to return to Stratford upon Avon next Christmas and stay at the White Swan Hotel.

Dear JL_2099,

Thank you for your review.

I hope we can welcome you back here next Christmas - it really is a magical time at the hotel, and the special events we have here help make it really memorable.

I will pass on your kind words to Martina & Giorgia who will be thrilled to hear your found their pre-arrival service to be helpful.

Our rooms are all different and the character rooms are very special indeed. The efficient A/C system is really responsive as you found out!

Our breakfasts are becoming something of legend and it is a shame you didn't have time to sample the hot breakfast we cook fresh to order, but I am pleased that you enjoyed the continental selection.

We look forward to seeing you in the future, and take this opportunity to wish you a merry Christmas.

Regards,

Sol

Right in city center, this historic hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast provided was a "made to order" breakfast, served in the dining room form the 1430's! Great service and a wonderful venue. The only drawback was the parking . It was public parking around the rear of the building and was expensive.

Dear dtesno,

Thank you for your review.

We are indeed in the heart of Stratford, making it easy for people to see most of the tourist attractions here, but being so central means we don't have our own car park - the parking to the rear is £14 for 24 hours, but we do also advise guests of other places to park nearby from just £7 for 24 hours, which right in the centre of a tourist town isn't too bad.

I am pleased to read you enjoyed your breakfast and the historic dining room it is served in - each hot item is indeed cooked fresh to order, which we much prefer over a buffet style.

I will tell the team you found the service to be great, and I hope we can welcome you back.

Regards,

Sol
