To All,

I would strongly suggest everyone to avoid this hotel for your family holiday in a lovely city of Newcastle. Please stay miles away from it as it will turn out to be a disaster and a kitchen nightmare.

Food really cheap quality and blend. Morning breakfast which is free for kids is nearly gone off dairy products and old stock of bread and horrible tinned fruits.

Rooms are in really bad condition, not hoovered, walls not properly painted, housekeeping can rate 1 on 10, and room fans and TV not working properly.

Swimming area is like rubbish tip and you can see a layer of dirt in water floating.

This hotel has definitely lost its touch and is no way near to what it was like 4 years ago.

Management is new and hasn’t got a clue what they are doing behind the desk.....

It’s not Novotel... it’s No- more to Tell....

Please avoid it if you don’t want to spoil of your loved ones.

Great hotel, helpful staff, had a slight problem with the delay of our dessert to finish our evening meal but once Nicholas was informed the service we received was excellent, he couldn't apologize enough and fixed things right away, I would recommend that Nicholas be congratulated on his wonderful service every hotel should have a Nicholas. A thoroughly great stay.

We had looked on the Accor website and this hotel was advertised with air conditioning. In actual fact it has a totally ineffective "air cooling system" (definitely not air con) which does nothing. And the windows don't open more than 2cm, which means that although the nights were cool (and the days very hot) the room never cooled down. Breakfast good, although not exceptional. Car park six pounds for 24h. You need to like kids as the whole hotel was full of them. About a 12 min walk to the metro station, taking you into the city centre.

We chose this hotel on the basis that it was a good price in the right location with Air Conditioning as advertised on their website (after a very unpleasant hot & sweaty experience at a budget hotel chain the year before). Although advertised as having AC, and also having confirmed it when we phoned up to check, this hotel does NOT have Air Conditioning. It was uncomfortably hot, but dont worry we were provided with a fan when we complained! The rooms themselves are shabby, and in a state of disrepair, with filthy carpets ..... but good news (not for us) they are going to refurbish soon. Bedding was clean and fresh, and bathroom was clean. Management did what they could & moved us to another room which was nicer but still hot. It was a good deal but we would NEVER have chosen this hotel if we hadnt been mis-led about the Air Conditioning. After all, if you buy a car with air conditioning, you dont expect to be told that it has manual temperatue control, i.e. open the window!

Good budget hotel.
Reception and resteraunt/bar area nice.
Rooms where a bit dated.
Breakfast was not very good, buffet food didn’t feel very fresh, all a bit hard and tasteless.
Staff very helpful and friendly though.
Would stay again.
