This was our first visit to Dobson & Parnell and it will most certainly be our last.
After eating at the sister restaurant (Blackfriars) last week we thought this place would be as good if not better however we could not have been more wrong.
I started with Seared Tuna which was nice and my wife had the Isle of Wight tomato dish which she found rather average, nothing however could prepare us for what was to follow, I ordered the Lamb which was not on the menu but was a replacement for the Pork as this had ran out, my wife tried to order the Cod however this had also ran out so she also ordered the Lamb.
The Lamb came and looked rather inviting however trying to cut it was another matter, the term tough as old boots springs to mind and the roast potatoes were hard enough to break windows with ,we were asked by the very pleasant Izzy if everything was OK to which my wife expressed her concerns, Izzy suggested that she informed the chef and the manager and the reply came can we change the meals, this came from behind the scenes and at no point did the manageress come to offer an explanation, we were informed that the main course would be taken off the final bill however this message was carried to us by the wonderful Izzy, I would have expected the manageress to take her responsibilities a little more serious given that there was only a hand full of clients eating at this time.
After all the disappointment we asked for the bill which was minus the Lamb dishes, we paid and left.
We will not be returning however we would like to thank Izzy for her wonderful service, hope you shine in university as you are a little star.
