“What a great spot!”
Reviewed 10 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

We loved staying at holmlea. The location is brilliant! 30 secs walk to the water and the lovely May bush pub.
The bedrooms were comfy and the dining area which opens onto the garden is just lovely. All the showers are fantastic.
The sound system in the house is great too.
Lovely walks along the river side.

Some really minor feedback:
The parking is a bit of a mare if you have 2 cars as one can park round the back (it's tight with a big car) and the other car has to park in the pub car park which is ok but I was a little concerned leaving it there all weekend - no issues just not something I'd normally do!
The summer house in the garden is not for use (just in case the pictures suggest that you think you can use it)
We thought there was a beach next to the cottage but it's not a beach you could sit on really, nice to wander down and have a look but it's only about 5m wide so not somewhere you can spend a day picnicking.
We would definitely go again :-)

Many thanks, and delighted that you enjoyed your stay in Holmlea. The house provides a parking permit for a 2nd vehicle to use the pub car park, which is within a minute's walk from the house.

“An excellent cottage in a great location ”
Reviewed 28 August 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We have stayed here as an extended family for a week in July for the last 2 years and thoroughly recommend it.
It is a little like the " Tardis" with extensive modern accommodation inside what appears from the outside as an end of terrace cottage. The location for us is idyllic near the beautiful Deben river and the good gastro riverside pub " The Maybush". There is a small well kept garden and terrace which our grandchildren enjoyed before heading off to the river for messing about in boats or following the great local walks.

“Fabulous property in wonderful location”
Reviewed 13 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Holmlea is a beautiful house set in the really pretty, unspoilt village of Waldringfield.
The house is just a few steps from The Maybush pub - we ate there a few times - including going there for breakfast - the food is great and if the weather is good you can sit out and watch the boats on the river.
The house is bright, comfortable and spacious with all the facilities you need for a family stay. We were impressed with having 3 good showers - a real bonus when travelling with 2 teenage girls! We also enjoyed sitting in the garden in the evenings - very peaceful.
We had a lovely relaxed break at Holmlea and would recommend it to anyone.

“A very enjoyable week in a lovely house”
Reviewed 3 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Holmlea is in a delightful location a few yards from the beautiful Deben estuary and the excellent Maybush pub with its stunning patio views. The house is spacious, well equipped, very clean and has a lovely, private back garden. Lots of local walks and within easy reach of interesting places to visit. Harry, the owner, was very helpful and provided lots of information. Highly recommended.

“Relaxation”
Reviewed 30 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage is in excellent condition with modern fixtures and fittings yet at the same time cosy and classical. The river is stunning with lovely walks from the cottage. Lots to explore in Woodbridge, Ipswich harbourfront and further afield such as Aldeburgh and Snape. Pub a few houses down is a good treat and has great views .
