This is a lovely old building, so expect wooden beams and small stairways: it’s due to the historical nature of the inn! The staff are very accommodating and will try to find a room that fits your needs.
We stayed in a triple room on the second floor, it was clean, calm and welcoming with a freshly refurbished good sized bathroom and shower ( I understand they are updating all the bathrooms this season). We knew we’d be in late, so they let us drop off our car early in the carpark and have a key to let ourselves in.
The beds were comfy and the English breakfast was fresh and tasty. Another reviewer complained re size: but we found the portion quite decent especially as there was bottomless toast, yoghurt, cereal, tea, coffee and fresh fruit on offer! And the sausages were local and juicy, unlike the awful bran-filled monstrosities you’d get in a Travelodge....
We highly recommend this lovely hotel. Thanks!More
