“Ideal property & location for family or friendly gathering”
Reviewed 3 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We rented The Pink House for a group of 8 girls for a long weekend. Ideally situated on the High St, very well equipped, comfy & clean. Plenty of bathrooms with ample hot water, would also be great for mixed family groups, lots of games & toys for children.

“Fabulous house for a larger group”

Don't be fooled by the exterior shots of the Pink House, it's interior is tardis-like and extremely well-thought through with plenty of room for a group of friends, or one or two families with kids to stay. It's a relaxed open-plan downstairs with an inner courtyard accessed by foldback doors with a 10 seat dining table, well equipped kitchen, a lounge with plenty of seating and double and twin rooms which, although not generously sized are more than adequate with IKEA furniture and crisp linen. There's a landing area with a TV and console for kids and I'm sure it'd be a great place to keep a mixed-age group well entertained. We were four couples and found the house more than comfortable for all of us. And even with us all showering the water never ran out - and trust me that's a sign of a house where the conversion has been well considered!

Downsides are few. The house has seen the rough and tumble of family holidays and some paintwork has suffered. The kitchen, while well equipped is a bit overstuffed - we struggled to find space for our own groceries despite the extensive cupboards. But that's really nitpicking. It's a great location, nicely decorated, well designed and a house we'd highly recommend.

Liked best: Location, interior layout, inner courtyard and doors
Liked least: Kitchen worktops and cupboards too full. One bathroom has a tricky shower control.

“Wonderful house, location, and beautiful Aldeburgh”
Reviewed 12 December 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We stayed at the Pink House over New Year 2013/2014 and has a wonderful stay. Despite a few issues (which the owners were very helpful resolving) the house was perfect for our family , and our group of friends with their young children. We loved the log burner, the cosy living room. the house is deceptively small from the outside, but very well designed inside to make use f all space. We had separate areas too to give a feeling of not being on top of the other families. The kitchen was great and loved eating round the large table! The children discovered the dressing up box and puzzles so everyone was happy! Perfect location too!
A great stay in a beautiful house, a stunning part of the East Coast.

“Perfect in every way!!!”

We came to the 'Pink House' for my 40th birthday, there were 10 of us in all. Parking was easy and free, bedrooms/en suites we very comfortable, everywhere was spotless and the living areas were very spacious. The kitchen had every facility you could think of from a dishwasher to a pint of milk left for us in the fridge. All bedding and towels smelt lovely (I'm very fussy in that area!). I would definitely recommend for groups of friends, couples and families. The location couldn't be better. We ate at the 'Lighthouse' restaurant, immediately next door, again couldn't fault it, they really looked after us and fabulous food. We were seconds away from the beach, shops and fish and chips.
We would definitely return in the future. Thank you Jill for everything ;)

“Perfect holiday home for group of friends”
Reviewed 10 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

A really well appointed, comfortable and spacious house. Light and welcoming sitting area. Comfy beds and very good bathrooms. Plenty of hot water.
We thoroughly enjoyed sharing the big kitchen for breakfast and loved the long dining table for evening meals. The sunny weather meant we could even open the patio windows during the bank holiday weekend. The children enjoyed the floor cushions in the chill out zone upstairs.
Just a few steps from the beach, the fish and chip shops, the pubs and next door the fab Lighthouse restaurant (5 star review from A.A.Gill in the Sunday Times). Just take a few tea towels and some sharp knives and you'll have a great time!
