“The whole experience; the cottage, the healing and Glastonbury was quite simply magical”
Reviewed 16 April 2011 for a stay in March 2011

Myself and a friend went for a couple of days to Glastonbury 'to get away from it all'. Not only did we manage to do that but we quite unexpectedly found so much more as well, thanks to the amazing owners of the Glastonbury Rose and The Divine Light Bed and Breakfast. The Glastonbury Rose where we stayed was quite simply magical. It is all the little extra touches that John and Meredith the owners, have put in that make it so special a place to stay.

The house is beautifully and spiritually decorated but serves every practical function at the same time. We were provided with lovely breakfast things, there was music and films and when I slipped into bed at night I was transported back to my childhood. I felt the security of being cocooned like a small child under those fabulous quilts and bedding. There were candles to light and even some ash from an Indian temple to put on your forehead for calming. The little terrace at the back was a charming place to sit and chat. I think we ended up spending as much time in this lovely cottage as we did out and about in Glastonbury. We chilled, we laughed, we cried, we talked, we sang and we danced there - all in the space of two days.

I had a psychic reading and intuitive body work with John which I cannot recommend highly enough. It was extremely illuminating and related so specifically to problems that I have encountered in this life that it has been quite life changing on my return home. Again, the healing temple is a place of calm security and safety from which to explore. Since the healing my life has shifted in so many ways for the better. I feel like a new woman.

I will definitely be returning to the Glastonbury Rose and would recommend it to everybody especially those who are at a time in life where they may need a little haven and a bit of security from which to explore where they are at. As I said, the whole experience from arrival to departure was, quite simply, magical.

This is an ideal place to stay for a small group of people. It has all of the 'home comforts' and is ideally located. Everything you could possibly need is 'just around the corner'. Highly recommended.

“Home!!”
Reviewed 9 March 2011 for a stay in March 2011

If you want somewhere to stay whilst you are in Glastonbury I can highly recommend "Glastonbury Rose" owned by a lovely couple, John & Meredith Flanagan. The best way to describe the cottage is quite simply 'home'. Wonderfully appointed and with a good warm vibe, the attention to detail is exceptional - everything you need is in a drawer, fridge or cupboard where you would expect to find it. Located in the centre of Glastonbury it is the perfect base from which to explore this incomparable town. Go on give it a go, it's great!
