Amazing build and stain glass windows- nice to take time to stop, look and appreciate. Didn't get chance to go up to the top. Loved the fake butterfly display in one corner suspended from the ceiling- really effective. Shame that they are eventually going to move all pews inside- I think they should leave them in situ, its also nice to sit down and take the environment around you in, have time to think and have some calm in the modern day rat race. Good shop to.

I'm not religious in any way but felt a warmth and welcoming at this Abbey.

The stained glass windows are vibrant with colour and it is quite bright inside. The structure is wonderful carved stone. The masons of the day were true craftsmen.

There is some serious history here as this Abbey has been around since the 10th century and although they ask for a recommended donation, it is actually free to visit, if you so wish.

Definitely worth a visit.

Managed a visit to the Abbey when I was in Bath. It really is beautiful and visitors can walk round it freely. There was a rehearsal taking place for a recital which made it all the more special. We only had 30 minutes or so in there but wish I could have spent more time looking round, and there are guides if you wish to know more who will answer your questions.
