“Haven in the Shropshire countryside”
Reviewed 10 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

It is immaculately kept by an attentive but not intrusive owner in whose grounds the cottage is situated and it is blessed with uninterrupted views of the Shropshire Hills.

Being only a few minutes outside Shrewsbury (a delightful Tudor market town), and the A5 & A49 trunk roads, it makes an ideal base from which to explore not only Shropshire and the Welsh border areas but also east towards the Midlands, north to Cheshire and South in to Herefordshire.

A great getaway retreat and homemade cake as well. – Super.

We had a warm welcome on arrival and found the cottage to be exactly what had been described. It was immaculately furnished and more than adequate in size for the two of us and very comfortable.
It was very quiet but next to a pub which normally serves food (unfortunately the kitchen was closed during our stay but the beer was good!) there were two other good restaurants nearby. Shrewsbury park and ride was only a few minutes away and there were many museums; National Trust properties and good walking all within easy reach.
A very good place to stay.

“Idyllic, Relaxing, Peaceful.”
Reviewed 26 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

This is a lovely cottage with excellent facilities and is situated in a most perfect tranquil setting with views of the rolling Shropshire Hills.

Maria is the most congenial of hosts without being obtrusive who provided us with a most generous of welcome packs which was well received.

Whilst this is a rural location it is ideally situated for walking, shopping, visiting historical houses and market towns which this lovely area has to offer in abundance.

Very enjoyable we will return.

“The perfect place to relax and unwind”
Reviewed 28 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

Wisteria Cottage is perfectly situated to enjoy walking in the Shropshire Hills, views of which can be seen from both the living room and bedroom. There is little passing traffic which makes sitting out on the patio peaceful and relaxing. The cottage is clean and well presented and the welcome package is a delightful touch which adds to Maria's own warm welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
