This place is exactly what you would expect from Travelodge. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and beds, adequate bathroom. There is a good gourmet burger joint attached that does a good dinner, but breakfast is only available in a box delivered to your room. Nothing to fault at a cheap price.

The staff are all really nice and friendly and can't do enough for you. The hallways are getting a bit shabby and need a spot of paint. The rooms are what you expect for a travel lodge. The shower was a bit of a letdown what ever was happening to the extractor should of been picked up by housekeeping the foam that had been around the vent was hanging off. The curtains were to short and we ended up with a wet floor. And it also meant you had the curtain clinging to you as you washed, not very pleasant. The water didn't drain away fast enough so was waiting for that to overflow luckily it didn't. The bed was OK but the walls are a bit thin and you could hear other guests talking and there TVs made for a good alarm in the morning.

I don't expect much from these types of chains. Essentially it's just a bed.

And this is no different. Great location. Walking distance to shops, train station, etc.

3 quid for Wi-Fi is a bit annoying. As is there being no nearby car park and you only find out the location of the one they have a special deal with when you've parked your car elsewhere. I wish more could be done to promote that. But yeah, another average travelodge. Nothing majorly right but nothing drastically wrong either...

I booked two double rooms for the Sunday night of the bank holiday weekend to attend Reading Festival. I checked in early for a £10.00 fee, the hotel allowed me to do this earlier than normal because they knew it would be a busy weekend with all the festival goers so that was brilliant. The staff were really helpful and friendly, the woman behind the desk at check in in particular. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the hotel itself wasn't to far from the festival.
Would stay again.

Booked on reading weekend. Very close to station and easy to get to reading from. Bedroom was nice and clean. Staff were excellent and friendly, even when we got back from reading when we were a bit drunk and loud.
