I must admit I was not expecting a plant tour to be so fun and entertaining, leave aside the informative side of it. Our tour guide, Leonel, was knowledgeable, quick to answer any kind of questions about cars, the plant itself or the production process while making some of the most guinuinely funny comments we have ever heard; we found ourselves chuckling more than once. All in all, extremely entertaining, well above my expectations. I left with such a good impression on the management, the plant itself, the employees and their product.
Extra points for the people who checked up on us as we were a bit late and they wanted to make sure we wouldn't miss the tour.

The tour was very well organised right from the start. Visitors are organised into groups of up to 15 people issued with ear pieces so that everyone can hear the guide at all times in the noisy factory. The guides were very knowledgeable and answered all the questions. The factory is incredibly well organised with 1000 robots helping with the welding etc.

This was such a great thing to do, I’ve never been inside a factory before, and as the proud owner of a beloved Mini this was a great opportunity to get an inside view of how the iconic cars are created.

The tour lasts approximately 2 hours, and although there is a minibus to take you between the various buildings, there is also a fair amount of walking involved. However, watching the robots in action creating the main frame is amazing, and seeing all the finished parts being put together to create each individual car is so much fun. Each car is pretty much individual, built to the new owner’s personal spec.

My only slight criticism would be that there is no onsite cafe for visitors; and it would have been nice if there was more choice in the shop - branded pens, keyrings, mugs or book marks for example.

But overall, a great couple of hours spent indulging a love of all things Mini!

A well organised tour that could have been longer as it was interesting. Got caught at shift change time and some sort of staff presentation so most machinery and robots had stopped.
