The scampi, cod and black pudding fritters were brilliant and nicely presented, as usual.

The attention to detail is not only in the cooking but also in the decoration. Good friendly staff.

Consistently good on all my visits.

Big thanks again, we all had a fab time in your
quirky seaside environment. The best fish and chip shop ever.

Been meaning to try here for ages. Walked up from the centre of Nottingham - about 20 minutes, half of which is uphill. There are many busses also that go up Mansfield Road or to Sherwood.

Nice airy place. Didn’t smell like a fish and chip shop, which the front part definitely is, with tables at the back. Nice seaside touches in the decorations. Surprisingly busy for about 6pm on a Thursday so clearly very popular, both for dine in and take away.

Despite a wide range of fish on offer (from cod, plaice, lobster, crab, sole, mussels, monkfish, oysters etc.) I went for traditional cod and chips with mushy peas. Huge bit of cod with golden, crispy, non-greasy batter. Very good chips. Mushy peas could have done with a squirt of mint sauce to make them proper “Nott’n’m”.

Friendly staff and efficient service. £10.20 (from memory) which is fair for food of this quality, served at a table in pleasant surroundings. I shall return to try some of their more exotic fish options.

I work up the road and come here pretty regularly. The staff are always incredibly friendly (have probably been served by them all at some point or another) and the atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed. I haven't eaten in before, as I walk back to the office 2 mins away, but it gets pretty busy over lunch (though not to the point of slow service) which is a testament to the quality. The quality of the food and also the selection is really great. Thoroughly recommend!

This has been on my radar for some time and we finally got here whilst out shopping that side of the city. The restaurant is attractive with a seaside feel and the staff were all smiley and helpful. We both had the cod and chips which were freshly cooked and could not be faulted.
