The lobby was open and welcoming, and the staff were friendly enough. The hotel itself is in a good location as it's just off the M1. The coffee at breakfast was nice, and the parking and location of the hotel were good, but that's about the end of the positives I can share about this hotel.

The mattress was hard in places and seemed to slope off to one side. The TV in the room was nearly falling off its wall bracket and it was too easy to move it around. The full length mirror had some cardboard and packing tape in the bottom right hand corner. The shower was lukewarm and where the showerhead connected to the hose water was spraying everywhere. Whenever the toilet was flushed in the room either above or to the side of mine, it was very loud in my room as if all the pipes were running through my bathroom. I had to wait nearly ten minutes to check out as the one member of staff present in the morning was on the phone, and as I was already running late I had no opportunity to talk to staff about these problems. On top of that, WiFi was on offer for just under £9 for one night and one device, which is an absolute joke and rip off compared to other hotel chains. Will not be returning.

Having stayed in this hotel a few times now, I can safely say the location is super convenient on Junction 15 of the M1 and A45.The staff have always been spot on, friendly and polite. The breakfast options are a little limited and whilst you can tell it has been on the hot plate for a while, it still tasted good. Could be improved by having fresh fruit juice rather than concentrate , but I understand why.The rooms have always been clean and the beds are comfy, but I feel they are let down by smaller details that seem to get overlooked. The last few times I've stayed here, the small bedside lamp has been broken, meaning I cannot use it to read with as it only points at the floor. On my last visit, the main wall mounted light was also broken. The lift was out of order, which is understandable, but made it a long walk back down to the lobby when I needed to get my key reprogrammed, which happens at least once every stay. I've also noticed that the extractor fan in the bathroom doesn't seem to turn off. I'm not sure if this is because something has been broken or just by design, but it's annoying either way.Tea and coffee in the room is good and the idea of having takeaway cups in the room is fantastic, and I use it every time.I would definitely recommend.

Second time at this hotel and a different room. For my first review, I absolutely raved about the room. This time: arriving at the hotel, it was obviously full, as there were no car parking spaces left, the room was too hot even with the heating off (it was not possible to sleep with the window open, as the burglar alarm from a nearby property was going off all night), the bathroom needed a lot of TLC and also a good clean behind the door, the fan in the bathroom was on all night, making a quiet trip in the middle of the night, impossible.

staff friendly, but the rooms need some TLC. For example in my room:
* a strong unpleasant drain smell from the bathroom
* kettle lid was secured with a cable tie
* inspection hatch in the bathroom held in place with parcel tape
* mattress floppy with the odd spring protruding slightly
* the dirty walls had been patch painted with paint that didn't match the orignal

the place is well past its best and the amateurish DIY in particular gave it really cheap feel

On the 25th July 2018 i attended a company conference at this site.
13th August i contacted them to say id received a parking fine, I was told by staff that the parking company would be informed and to ignore any future letters as it takes a while to go through. (Phone and email with the parking ticket attached)
20th September I received another letter, this time with a court defence form attached, again i contacted the hotel and was assured there was no need to do anything and it was in hand. (Phone and email)
1St November i contacted them again,
3rd December again as a judgement had been passed against me!! £200 fine!!

Today at 18:05 i received an email from the manager 'Please find correspondence from parking eye. Have tried to have it cancelled but to much time had passed.'

I would advice anyone from using this company, whether it be for a short stay or business conference. The amount of times i called and different staff i spoke to and emails i sent you would think it beyond belief how things got this far, the shear incompetence demonstrated is astounding!

Stay away if you don't want fines turning up at your door and nothing but promises and bigger fines in the future

Room tip: Any other hotel.. literally
