The location was great, close to city centre & pleasant river walk. Still quiet & restful, even though central. The flat was clean, tidy & well-equipped. Parking was very handy.
We spent over a week in this lovely apartment while we toured Norwich and environs. We did not have a car and relied on public transportation...it was easy to reach the train station and bus stops on foot. The apartment is very near the center of Norwich and, although the walk to shops, etc. is uphill a bit, we found we could flatten the walk a bit by always walking through Castle Mall (i.e., walking under the castle rather than walking up and around it)! Easy to get to grocery stores (M&S is our favorite) and all the tourist sights. To reach the apartment one has to go up a flight of outdoor stairs...and then in the apartment, the kitchen and living room are on one floor, the bedrooms and bathrooms on the upper floor. The apartment is very well furnished and the owners left some nice treats for us...bottled water, ginger cake, croissants, milk, cookies, and a big bag of crisps! It was also easy to contact the owner if we had any problems (which we didn't).
Lots to see in and around Norwich. Locally there is the cathedral, the castle, the Bridewell Museum, and the Guildhall which offers a tour on Mondays at 2 p.m. We took a bus to Wroxham to get a view of The Broads, a bus and a walk to visit a lovely stately home called Blickling Hall outside of Aylsham, and walked from the apartment to Whitlingham Country Park and back...a lovely place to visit and take a relaxing walk around the broad there. There is a great tourist office in a building called The Forum - they can provide you with all sorts of information about the area
Needed somewhere to stay as were in between sale and purchase of our new home for a couple of weeks.
Very comfortable and only needed to bring clothes. Great location for city and coast. Parking also invaluable being so close to the centre of the city, especially as I work here.
Nothing was too much trouble.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for a stay for either business or pleasure.
This flat is more like a house than an apartment as it is on two levels. It's ideal for the centre of Norwich. The fittings and furnishing are all super high quality, and the place was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was better equipped than ours at home...
