“Beautiful accommodation in tranquil setting”
Reviewed 24 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We stayed here for a few days with family (who stayed in the other accommodation on the property). Although we were slightly surprised by the property when we arrived -- essentially, it's a modern extension to a bungalow -- we soon came to love it. The studio is beautifully appointed, tasetful, and clean, with a fantastic picture-window view of a large garden. A lovely big room to hang out in (with plenty of room for those staying in the other accommodation to pop in). The beds are comfortable, and pretty much everything you could need is on hand. We arrived to find a fridge full of the morning's essentials and some home baking as a welcome. Would have happily stayed longer if we could.

Surlingham is well-situated east of Norwich -- lots and lots to do, all within an hour's drive. Local pubs had excellent food, and our hosts were on hand to provide useful local information (and a warm welcome). Recommended.

“Fabulous location”
Reviewed 8 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Stayed here whilst visiting family. It is a great location for visiting Norfolk. We went to Blakeney Point to see the seals and Great Yarmouth to see the circus nowhere seemed to be more than an hour away. The local river walks were beautiful and there were some pretty good eateries around the river walks.

The accomodation itself was great, spacious and clean with everything you need. The hosts were friendly without being intrusive. The first morning we were there Elena popped over with a slice of Plum cake she had made the previous evening...delicious!

All in all we had a great holiday and I would recommend the lodge to anyone staying in this area

“5 day stay to explore Norfolk”
Reviewed 30 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed in the Garden cottage with 2 young children, (10 months and 3), the accommodation was well equipped with cot, high chair and bath. We received a small welcome pack on arrival, (small milk, bread etc) with various brochures and info guides to explore. Having never been to the area before we were able to pack in a lot from the location, dinosaur world, swimming, steam train in shearingham, local river walk (baby carrier required), pub, boat trip on the broads. Owners were helpful and relaxed. Nearest big supermarket 10-15 mins. Recommended and fits the description.

Extremely spacious, well equipped studio lodge (bungalow style) with large outside garden area, patio furniture and gas barbecue. Beautifully clean and very well decorated. Heating and/or air con included. Owner lives on site and is very welcoming. Nice added touch - bread, butter, milk, tea, sugar and cereal available on arrival. Large freezer in lodge and washer/dryer available for use. DVD player and good selection of DVDs.

Excellent base for exploring Norwich, Norfolk and North Suffolk and only 2 1/2 hours from London!

Overall a very enjoyable stay - why not try it for yourself!

Couldn't have asked for more, big openplan living and dining space, and a nice big garden for the kids to play.
