I am a frequent business traveler and regularly stay in the top hotels around the world. This time I simply needed a bed for one night, with anonymity and without the frills or uniformity of a large chain, and the sycophantic staff that often go hand in hand with that.

I discovered the Nadler Victoria by chance, and it ticked all of the boxes for my stay: great location, with lots of good pubs, restaurants, cafes, and shops on the doorstep, highly efficient, sincere, and friendly staff, very good in-room amenities, comfortable bed, and lots of sockets for my electronic devices. I love the fact that there are no restaurants or bars or gyms on the premises. This is a unique offering, which keeps costs low for everyone. When you have so many of these amenities close by it certainly is no hardship.

I arrived at the hotel at 08.30hrs, with the intention of leaving my bags and checking into my room later as I was going to a meeting in the city, and the young man at reception checked me in in less than 1 minute and told me to leave the bags with him. My room was ready, and he delivered them for me. I have hardly ever experienced such efficiency in the past.

As an Australian who worked in Victoria many years ago, it is easy to see why tourists come to this area. They should definitely stay at The Nadler to take advantage of this, and to come back to a comfortable, modern, and quiet retreat when weary.

I will definitely be back.

Stayed here for 2 nights because it was so close to Buckingham Palace and we were attending the garden party. There is no bar or restaurant but this is no problem as there are plenty close by. The hotel is very quiet even though it is in a busy area of London. Each room has a kitchen area with fridge, microwave, sink, filter water tap, coffee machine and kettle. You also gave an ironing board, iron and hairdryer. Free WiFi is also available. You only need to ask for extra tea etc and they supply it. The staff were extremely helpful and polite.

Room tip: Rooms on higher floors are quieter

We just spent four days in this beautiful hotel. It's location is perfect: central and quiet! The rooms are comfortable and have everything a traveller requires! The staff at the reception is the BEST ever! I have never experienced receptionists that are as friendly and helpful as theses guys.

This hotel's strength comes from its new, modern decor, its excellent location, and its helpful staff. It's an absurdly good location; on our arrival, we did a short walk and saw four major tourist attractions (Big Ben, Westminster, Trafalgar Square, and of course Buckingham Palace). The hotel is so wonderfully close to Buckingham Palace that her Majesty may want to consider a restraining order--the next-door neighbor is the Palace's gift shop.

The hotel is on a side-street, so there was no problem with noise. It's a few blocks' walk to the closest Underground station (Victoria) and there are several excellent (TripAdvisor-rated!) restaurants a short walk away.

Our single king-size bedroom was small -- it was a struggle to find floor space for two full suitcases -- but given that this was an urban hotel that's to be expected. The bathroom was large. All furnishings, from the bed to the shower, were modern and clean and worked perfectly. There were nice touches like USB power outlets so that guests can charge phones and iPads without bringing a voltage converter, or even a charger.

I booked this hotel as I was going to Buckingham Palace and wanted a location close by to change for an event, in this case I could not have chosen better, that is not to say that this is one of the best hotels in London. Location aside the staff were very friendly and helpful, I had booked a smaller room for 1 person, it was perfectly adequate and had everything I needed , including a kitchen sink, but unfortunately no phone signal as it was in a basement, as I was meeting other people I kept having to go upstairs to check any messages! There is no lounge /seating area and no breakfast room, either muesli or croissants can be brought to your room, which I was not expecting. Overall if location is your primary concern then you cannot do better than The Nadler, Victoria

Room tip: rooms inbasement have no phone signal with Vodaphone
