This is the 2nd one of this concept I have stayed in and I have to say once you get over the shock of the size of the room they are fine. If you literally want somewhere to get changed and sleep in a convenient location you can’t beat it. Nice touches like cheese and wine in the ground floor very small lobby area give this place a unique chic type of feel, all staff are very friendly. I would not recommend sharing a room though they really are beyond tiny I think they are all the same size. Both times I have stayed I have been alone there is no way my husband and I could have both stayed in this room 😂

Dear Angela,

Many thanks for your review.

We are happy to read your lovely comments about us - Z Hotels offers great location, compact and luxury rooms.
It is nice that you had the chance to try our lovely cheese and wine - It's our little surprise for all of our guest's.

In regards the staff - We will make sure they receive your words as that create even more motivation to the team.

We do offer different room types, therefore if you are planning to visit us with your husband you could choose one of our QN rooms (which are the most spacious rooms) perhaps that extra space between the room type that you had (DBL) to the (QN) room will make a difference :)

Please do let us know if you would like to join our Membership Programme which offers 7.5% discount for future bookings.

Perfectly good for a night or two when you don't have much luggage. Handy to have a kettle in the room (Citizen M doesn't have). All v compact so you need to not have any privacy issues! Pristine cleanliness and comfortable bed. What else do you need?

What a gem! Cool little spot right in the heart of Picaddily and close to everything. Very quiet with lovely staff. Great value & don’t even start me about the nightly wine & cheese. Put this one on your list

Ok where do I start! Well this hotels big plus points are that it is absolutely spotless, the location is a winner as just off Haymarket, Piccadilly and Leicester Square and the staff are very friendly.

The room!!!! Oh god!

If you are under 20 and agile and staying on your own then your sorted!
The room is as wide as the length of a bed! That’s it!!!! You cannot walk round it as it is pushed up to the window! You have to climb over your bed fellow to get out! Bloody ridiculous!
The shower is a fairly good size but if you are not on personnel terms with your fellow room mate it could be quite embarrassing as the shower walls are glass, frosted I know but still see through! No extractor fan for steam to escape so the mirror steams up straight away also no shaving point for men and the absolute worst thing is NO WHERE TO PUT YOUR CLOTHES!!! 4 coat hangers does not substitute a wardrobe! I am sorry but clothes space is pretty much up there as far as importance is concerned as a bed I would have thought!!!!! No drawers nothing! Only stayed two nights and felt quite claustrophobic. I pity anyone staying a week or if you have children as the only place to put your little kiddies is on the coat hanger hooks!!!
The tv is the size of a small car which is stupid as you are only ever two feet away from it at the most! Ours didn’t work anyway! But I am sure they would have seen to it had we told them.
Would I stay here again, no chance!

Dear Mandy,

Thank you for your recent stay and for your review.

Z Hotels rooms are In fact compact-luxury rooms in prime location. We understand that all our rooms have different layout therefore I would like to suggest you next time to approach reception and request to have a different layout, please note that this is subject to availability.

In regards your points mentioned in your review (Frosted glass,wardrobe,drawers,..) when you make the booking in any of the websites explains and says our concept - we understand that Z concept is not for everyone and that is the reason we have a clear description about us.

I don't know if you had the chance to join us on our Cheese and Wine buffet, which in fact is the favourite time of the day as we can interact with our guests.

I'm really sorry that the TV it did not work - but as you said if you report any issue to reception we are always available to help and provide solutions - Please do not hesitate next time to report any issue you might have in the room.

I am very happy to know that you were impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and with our staff, customer service is our main priority.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to remind you about our member code. Please use it when booking your next stay at Z Hotels so you can have 7.5% discount.

Looking forward to welcome you back.

This was the second time I stayed at a Z Hotel, the first being about two years ago in Soho, so I knew about the tiny room size. That wasn't the problem for me; instead, my low rating is based on two other things, both fixable:

1. The Food
2. The Staff

The Food: Previously, at Z hotel Soho, the breakfast was quite good. There was a nice variety of food, all fresh, changing daily, and as I recall, some hot options they would prepare for you. So for this visit, I prepaid again, and it was a disappointment. There was a very limited selection of food, mostly just different types of bread, which on some days was stale. After the first day, I would not have come back, except I had prepaid for the pleasure of eating here.

The Staff: I won't get into the details of the surliness of the staff, aside to say, this seems to be a reflection of management. I'm guessing here, based on her blazer and the way she communicated with the rest of the staff, but she was very unpleasant and rude, and that attitude was reflected in her staff. The one staff interaction that was pleasant was when she wasn't present, and I was checking out. I was politely asked, "will we be seeing you here again?"

Doubtful.

Both of these problems are fixable, and it could make this place a more pleasant place to stay, but for now, I would avoid it. If you are considering this place for a stay, I would wait to see if the reviews improve over time. For me, I will not be back.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for sharing your experience at Z Hotel Piccadilly.

At Z Hotels we take very seriously any constructive feedback and I am very sorry that the Hotel did not meet your expectations in those two things mentioned at your review:

I have tried to find your reservation in order to find out your contact number to give you a call to get more details about your experience with us to avoid any inconvenience to future guests, however I was not able to find any booking under the name of your nickname at TripAdvisor.

In regards the food,as you mentioned 2 years ago you visited The Z Hotel Soho - Since couple of months ago we slightly changed our breakfast together with our Menu - We do have many regular guests and for us it is very important to change time to time our variety of food - I'm really sorry this time the food we offer did not meet your expectations.

In regards the staff, I would like to understand more and obtain more details of what made you feel that our team member was unpleasant and rude- It is very important for us the opinion of our guest's - I can guarantee you that this is not our standards and it should not be in any circumstances.

I would like to personally discuss this further with you. Please contact me on maria@thezhotels.com

Have a lovely day and looking forward to hear from you
