Do NOT stay here.

1.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 4 weeks ago
As a solo female traveler, as I opened my allocated room it was pre-occupied. Scary to think that someones key could unlock my room in the middle of the night whilst I was sleeping. The staff are hostile and so beyond rude and unhelpful. Once I asked for a refund they simply said it was not their fault they allocated me with a pre-occupied room. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Dear Reviewer,
As you stayed with us 5th to 10th of December 2023, you are in violation of writing this review as it is over 12 months since you stayed with us. It does seem a bit odd that you have waited over 13 months to post this review which we refute vehemently.
You made the reservation for a single basic room (the shower and WC facilities were communal – we conducted a major refurbishment, and these rooms were phased out in January 2024) via Booking.com on a non-refundable rate. As you made the reservation yourself you are bound by the terms and conditions of the reservation. When you arrived, you were unhappy about this room classification and so chose to create this story. I can assure you that the room you were given was not someone else’s and it would never the case that in the middle of night another guest would have access to your room.

The only complaint I have is walking up and down 4 flights of steps was hard. The room was small but great for me. Comfortable bed. The staff was amazing. Paul, Hakeem and Sandeep were informative, helpful and always greeted me with a smile. Very strong guys took my luggage up and down stairs for me. They have a map of the area. Tips on where to eat and tour deals.

Room tip: Ask for lower floor. No elevator Area pretty easy to navigate Close to paddington station

Price performance is the best. Rooms were clean. Hakeem and Mehdi, at reception, were super nice. Location is perfect close to perfect multi culti restaurants. Very close to Paddington main station so sometimes you can hear the sound of the trains but not a big deal for me.

Hakeem and Sendeep at the reception are extremely kind! They will recommend you nearby restaurants when you check in, will help you carry your bags upstairs, greet you on your way out, and are exceptionally welcoming every day! Their friendliness would have made me overlook the small room and noisy subway. But the hotel is really well located, just a 3-minute walk from Paddington Station.

A convenient, well located overnight stay in this comfortable and clean Paddington hotel. It is worth mentioning the consistent friendly service, comfortable bed and well appointed newly renovated bathroom. The location of this character filled hotel located less than a 5 minute walk from Paddington Station. We would recommend an overnight stay here and would happily return.

Room tip: There is no elevator so be prepared to walk up with your luggage to reach your room.

Hotel was good value for money given location. But room was too small for 2 people. Also small narrow staircase leading to bedroom on 3rd floor I felt was dangerous . Also lots of bites on legs from bedbugs so not a pleasant experience. ........

Tudor Court Management, Other at Tudor Court Hotel, responded to this reviewResponded 26 December 2024

Dear Reviewer,
Thank you for comments about our good value and location.
The size of the room together with the narrow staircase is common amongst our classification of hotel in this type of building. We are unable to change this as the hotel is in a conservation area and is a listed building (built in the mid-1850s). I can assure you that this is not dangerous at all. There are a large number of hotels housed in such buildings. Space in London comes at a premium.
On hearing about your experience from this review (not in person) we contacted our pest control team who conducted an extensive search of the rooms (including your room) on your floor. They have confirmed there was no sign of such an infestation.
We disagree with your comment on our staircase being dangerous at all and the presence of such an infestation. These were not the case.
