5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 7 Jul 2024via mobile
Great location, friendly staff, informative and welcoming.
Right in the heart of Paddington, less than five minute walk to the station, close proximity to Little Venice and Paddington locks. Easy access all over London.
Great pubs and restaurants all within five minute walking radius.
Date of stay: July 2024
Room Tip: Taking the tubes to sight see is best after 9:30 am, avoid rush hour and getting around London on...

The hotel location was great! The reception staff Oub and Connan were lovely and friendly and helpful they couldn’t do enough to help! We had two lovely rooms and we were able to store or bags until later in the day while we waited for our train home. Many thanks.

Tudor court hotel located at the heart of central london which is why its very convinient to access different places. Having said that rooms and bathrooms on quite small and also there is no AC available as well as escalator is NOT AVAILABLE. but this hotel provides good value for money. Also hotel is Clean, comfortable.

One more point to highlight is that staff here is quite generous and helpful viz Sandeep Gondaliya. He helped us a lot during our stay there. We rae thankful to him.

This was such a quaint little place. It is located perfectly for a quick walk to Paddington Station. The area around it is beautiful and has amazing places to visit for a quick bite or a refreshing drink. The owners of the hotel were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nothing but the best! Highly recommend! Will stay there again for sure!

This hotel is in a beautiful area of London and Paddington station is less than a 5 minute walk. The hotel is in a very old building but the rooms are nice and clean. They are very small but we managed with 3 people and 4 suitcases. I gave this hotel a 3 for a few reasons. One when we booked it said it had air conditioning when we got there they said it was not advertised with air. Although they had a until in the room it would not run. It was miserably hot all the time in the room. They did have a small fan but it wasn't helpful. The bathrooms have no counter space and no hooks for towels or any kind of toiletries bag. The sink is small and sideways so almost impossible to wash your face without getting water all over you and the floor. I will give the service a 5. The people that worked there were so kind and very accommodating. They did say they were going to start room renovations. If you dont mind the heat this is a great place stay. I would only go back if there was air conditioning since we were there in June.

Room tip: The sidewalks are very narrow and the corner of where the hotel is has a bus stop for the hop on hop off bis. So be prepared if you have your luggage.

Dear Reviewer,
Thank you for your review. It pleases us that you have commented positively on our location, how nice are rooms are, the cleanliness & our level of service given by our staff.

However, we have never advertised or publicised that our rooms are air conditioned. Good news, we are in the process of upgrading our rooms and facilities. This service will be installed very soon. Once installed we will then advertise this facility. As we have not installed these units yet, we are not advertising this service. As the weather was unseasonably hot during your stay we provided table fans.

Space in London is at a premium. Our room sizes are the norm within our category of hotel. The shower rooms are bijous but are well appointed and offer guests large shower cubicles.

MOUSE IN THE ROOM!!!! AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!!!
Within a few moments of being in the room, I saw a mouse running around the floor of my room! And then it eventually ran over behind the fridge and closet!
The hotel staff, manager and owner are terrible human beings with no customer service skills or professionalism at all. I am still fighting to get a refund from them!
There was no way I was staying at a hotel with mice in the room!!!!
The hotel staff are denying the whole thing!
A 5 night stay completed ruined, my first time in London. I went across the street and stayed at the Hilton Paddington Hotel instead for all 5 nights, despite having to fork out thousands of dollars for the new hotel.
Not only this, the room photos are completely deceiving!!! The room is extremely small. The bathroom is the size of a closet. I could not sit on the toilet without my legs hitting the sink and the shower is circular and so confined, I felt too claustrophobic to stand in it!!!
The whole building loudly vibrates and shakes violently every 5 minutes, whenever someone in the building flushes the toilet or when the subway goes by underground.
No soap or shampoo or anything extra either.
WHAT A DUMP!!!!
Shame on them! Karma is there!!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Check the other reviews of this place on Google, lots of others have had similar issues!!!

Room tip: AVOID AT ALL COSTS! MOUSE IN THE ROOM!!!! DISGUSTING! Management is terrible and greedy, will not issue refund or fix the issue!

Tudor Court Management, Other at Tudor Court Hotel, responded to this reviewResponded 28 June 2024

Dear Reviewer,
Saying that we have a mouse, when we don’t, is very dishonest. You made the reservation through Expedia and chose the room type and the room conditions.
You made a reservation for a compact double room. When you arrived, you were not happy with the room type you reserved. Space in London comes at a premium and as the name suggests, the room along with the shower room are on bijou side and quite snug. This is NOT confined to our hotel specifically but to London in general. I believe you are not familiar with London accommodation in our category of hotels.
You came to reception, and we offered you an alternative. As the alternative room was not to your liking, YOU decided to leave. You only dealt with one receptionist, so I am not sure why you have indicated that the manager, owner and other staff were present, as we were not. A fabrication no doubt to exaggerate your opinion. Now you have posted this review and sought to vilify us by making these accusations.
The vast majority of guests these days reserve hotel rooms based on reviews and are price driven. Yes, the Hilton Hotel is just around the corner. But as I suspect you made the reservation with us based on a more modest budget. We offer the best location and our rooms, though bijous are very well appointed. We pride ourselves in offering standards far and above the norm. To make such an accusation is deplorable on your part.
As for the “whole building violently shaking every 5 minutes”, this is yet another fabrication to highlight your discontent. We are located 100 metres from Paddington Station. The pay-off to be being so close to Paddington (and indeed 15 minutes via Heathrow Express to Heathrow) does mean you will hear the trains. But this is not confined to Tudor Court Hotel alone, but to the whole area. Again, I don’t think you are familiar with what an urban London hotel is like.
To reiterate, our rooms though small are indicative of the size of rooms in our category of hotel classifications. As we offer excellent value for money, and as such you cannot then expect to be given a palatial room. Our rooms are well appointed and yes, we do provide COMPLIMENTARY SHAMPOO & SOAPS.
I think you may have a distorted understanding of what we offer. I can certainly assure you our standards are over and above the norm. Therefore, as you offer no expertise of London hotels, your opinions will be discredited (the sheer force of your opinions indicates your frustration and anger). You do not need to take out on the hotel but should take a moment to realise that you are at fault.
We shall not be undermined by your lies. I’m not sure if you are writing about us, Tudor Court Hotel, but overwhelmingly most reviews are considered very good or excellent. All I can deduce from your review is that it does not resonate with other guests who have stayed with us. Next time please be aware of the type of establishment you wish to stay in.
