“Perfect location for us!”
Reviewed 16 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Loved our week in London. This apartment was a great base for our family. It was walking distance to many landmarks and so close to the Tube so getting around was simple. Enjoyed the Gardens at the end of the street. Very quiet overnight. Some of the dishes in the kitchen were not cleaned very well, but the keyholder offered to get that fixed for us - we just did it ourselves. Wifi was not always reliable. Plenty of eateries nearby and a couple of mini supermarkets. As others have said, it is small, but the location more than makes up for it.

Thank you for your review and we are glad to hear you enjoyed the location. It is indeed perfect for London sightseeing!

We are very sorry for the state of the crockery. Thank you for pointing this out and we've taken this into account. Regarding the wifi it seems the router was mistakenly switched off. It is normally pretty reliable and strong.

Again thank you for taking your time writing a review and we are looking forward to hosintg you again.

“Great place close to most major London attractions”
Reviewed 14 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We are a family of 4 (kids 21 and 17) and stayed in apartment 10 from Dec 28, 2015, to January 4, 2016. Though this apartment is rather small it provides 2 bedrooms, a living rooom, a kitchen and a bathroom. The beds in the the bedroom separated by a sliding door from the living room were very comfortable. Opeing the window, you could see the London Eye. The other bedroom was used by our kids. Opposite from the apartment are ofiice buildings.
The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, even with a washdryer. A refrigerator (with freezer) was sitauted in the hall.
The bathrom next to the entrance is very small, and we had to place our toiletries, hairdryer, etc. somewhere else (we used the kitchen next dor. But this was no problem for us. The shower worked very well, and there was no problem with hot water there.
There is a lift in the house, however, it did not work. So we took the stairs.

The location at the end of a dead-end street next to Embankment Gardens is great, as most major London attractions are within wakling distance of approx. 5-15 minutes. Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, China Town, Piccadilly Circus, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, Covent Garden, London Eye, Horse Guards. Two underground stations (Charing Cross and Embankment) are within appr. 3 minutes walking distance. Lots of restaurants, pubs, clubs, cinemas and theatres are in the area.
Even Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, British Museum and Oxford Street for Shopping are within walking distance. This makes this apartment to a perfect place for a trip to London.
There is a supermarket with reasonable prices close by (5 minutes walk) where you can get almost everything,

It was a pleasure to have your family. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. We don't advertise this property as having a lift because the lift is an old system lift and it has been known for it to be out of action. Having said that it does work most of the time. We do have the water on 24hrs and do try and supply the things that we think you need for your stay (e.g. hairdryer, iron etc). We are always keen to improve so if there is anything please do let us know. Thank you again for staying with us.

“Outstanding Location & Professional Friendly Service”
Reviewed 24 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

My stay at this flat was nothing short of fabulous. From the first communication with City Holiday Home, I was pleased with the professionalism of the team. The details of payment and how to receive the keys were clear and upon my arrival (after many months of planning and anticipation) I was met by a friendly staff member who greeted me warmly and explained everything about the flat.

The flat is in an excellent location. A few steps off of Victoria Embankment Gardens and in the other direction, The Strand. The flat itself was larger than I expected. Having stayed in many flats in London, I was surprised by the room configuration, which allowed for three separate sleeping areas. This was incredibly convenient as I was traveling with another adult, a baby and a teen.

The kitchen was very convenient and supplied adequately. The bathroom was small, as expected, but the water pressure was strong and the water itself, hot and plentiful.

Although the website details for this flat state there is no lift, there is in fact a lift. It was not working one some days (seemed to be an issue with the door being stuck on a floor below) but it was always in working order within a day.

I stayed here in early April and was notified ahead of time there would be construction in the building next door. I was offered a cancellation and declined. I appreciated the advance notice. The construction was indeed very loud (on the adjoining wall of the room I slept in) but we weren't there that much during the day so it wasn't an issue. I was surprised construction was carried out on the opposite side on a Saturday though. It was the day we left so again, it wasn't an issue.

My only suggestions for the flat would be to have an additional key available, more toilet tissue available for guests beginning their stay as well as a full bottle of kitchen dish soap and bathroom hand soap. We bought our own but to begin a stay with a small amount was a bit of an inconvenience.

The wifi was excellent, the telly worked great and my entire group felt safe and very comfortable in this flat. I look forward to booking again and would count myself very lucky to stay here for another holiday.

“Very appropriate appartment to visit London”
Reviewed 24 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

It is very well located, close to the london eye, trafalgar square and the big ben. There is everything you need in the area (supermarkets, underground, train, taxi, money exchange, restaurants, pubs...).
The appartment is fully equiped and even if it is small, its distribution of rooms is perfect. It is clean and everything works properly.
The only problem is the building works that start at 8.00. No way to sleep any longer.

Thank you for your review and positive comments. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in our accommodation.

We are very sorry for the noise from the neighbouring building. However the construction in the neighbourhood is beyond our control and hence we have let you know of the possible noise and asked if you would like to cancel the booking. According to the notice from the building company the work will finish by the end of March.

The location is as you described is ideal for everyone and I am very pleased you enjoyed staying right in the centre of this big city with us!

Thank you for taking a time to write a review and I look forward to hosting you when you are back in London.

“Terrific location”
Reviewed 13 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

We enjoyed our stay in London. This apartment was in a terrific location. It was quiet at night and the building works going on next door didn't disturb us because we were out and about every day anyway. We enjoyed being easy walking distance to shops, tube, supermarkets and tourist destinations. The apartment itself was small for four people using three rooms for sleeping ( including the sofa bed in the living room as we had two teenage boys and two adults staying there). The apartment would be more ideally suited to 2-3 people using just the two bedrooms for sleeping because storage of luggage was a little problematic for four people. Overall, we would recommend this location for price and convenience in central London.

Thank you for your review and positive comments. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in our accommodation.

The apartment has 3 sleeping areas in total, bedroom, living room and a side room which can be closed off from the living room with sliding doors. London isn't known for large accommodation and that is the sacrifice we all live with but the upside is having everything on your door step.

The location is as you described is ideal for everyone and I am very pleased you enjoyed staying right in the centre of this big city with us!

Thank you for taking a time to write a review and I look forward to hosting you when you are back in London.
