I only spent one night here as I was attending the Wellington hospital about one mile away. My room was spacious and comfortable. I slept well in the bed which had a firm mattress. The area is quiet and attractive. My room looked out to the front but there was no traffic noise at night.
The decor in the hotel is somewhat dated. That did not bother me. Some of the furniture and chandeliers are impressive. My spacious room was clean enough, but it must be a mammoth task keeping an older building with fancy decor up to standard. The carpets in the room had a few marks, but the bed linen was white and fresh and the bathroom was well cleaned. The staff I met were friendly and helpful, especially Erika on reception.
I'll be back in London soon for a longer stay and I'd be happy to stay here again.More
