Dimly lit and cakes very expensive - £4 for a scone?! Good, reasonable coffee. Disorganised paying system.

It is overcrowded and expensive and one has to line up separately for different items; I do not go there any more.

Not the best Cafe I've ever been to but they do have nice cakes and drinks. Although the menu suffers a bit from the weirdness that seems to creep into some museums and galleries food choices a reasonable lunch can be had here too.

Plenty of seating although it can still become very busy. If its not busy the 3 rooms with tiles and artwork are nice to eat in just to look at the walls. Shame it doesn't stay open a bit longer.

The courtyard coffee bar did not have any gluten free option and in the main cafe, they did not have any gluten free bread or rolls. If you buy salad or soup, surely, in this day and age, it is not too difficult to have gf rolls available. I was told that ' we used to do gf bread but don't anymore!' Seems strange. Lovely location and nice tasty food, but disappointing.
Please V and A caterers, get this sorted!

Beautiful setting, along with a lovely museum. But lunch in the café was poor. The chicken was supposed to be lime and garlic, but had no flavour at all. The broccoli was cold and not sure where the roasted part of the new potatoes came in.
Friend had the lasagne - described as bland.
