Owner description: The Magical Mystery Tour is Liverpool's original Beatles tour which takes you on an entertaining journey to the places where John, Paul, George and Ringo lived, met and hung out as they formed the band that took the pop world by storm. See the places that inspired songs such as Penny Lane and Strawberry Field, stand outside the houses where they lived and enjoy plenty of Fab Four tunes along the way. The tour finishes with a visit to the world famous Cavern Club where The Beatles played 292 times. This is the only tour to give you free general admission to the Cavern after your tour. Private tailor-made tours can also be arranged for your group in the Magical Mystery Tour people-carrier, minibus or coach! Translations of the tour commentary are available in French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Jay Johnson and his trusty driver Ross provided a fact filled funny and musical tour of the Beatles haunts homes and Liverpool over a 2 hour tour that seemed to include all the best bits and more besides. All our companions from around the world were clearly Beatles fans and happily sang along and enjoyed the speil! Good fun!

I admit I was a bit sceptical about a bus tour but I'm so glad we went. The tour is brilliant, informative and fun. They take you round parts of the city that are relevant to the lives of the Beatles including their birth places, Penny Lane & Strawberry Field. There are 4 stops to take photos and you listen to some Beatles music on the way. The tour guide Marie is great, enthusiastic & knowledgeable and sensitive to local residents when required. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to all ages.

If you go to Liverpool, you just have to do this tour. The guide was full of information and had a great sense of humour. Loads of opportunities to hop off the coach and take photos. We saw all the interesting places like Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields and even went past the site where Peaky Blinders is filmed. we saw the houses where the Beatles grew up and were amazed how small they were considering the fab four used to rehearse in them. A wonderful time.

While staying in Liverpool for a few days, as great Beatles fans my wife and I had to take this trip. No regrets as we had a wonderful couple of hours with two excellent companions, Tony the guide and John the very accomplished driver. Tony taught me a few things about the Beatles I didn't know and sprinkled his commentary with typical Liverpudlian humour. There were photo stops along the way at the Beatles houses and places famous in their songs, Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. We saw a lot of the city not associated with the Beatles too, ending up at the famous Cavern Club.
All in all a very worthwhile trip.

We spent last weekend in a fantastically warm and sunny Liverpool. Six of us up there for a friends 50th who is Beatles mad and knows his stuff.
Unfortunately the usual coach wasn't available so we had a replacement white coach. But that really didn't make much difference to our enjoyment. So, here is my honest review:

Firstly, the 2 guys on the bus were exceptionally good. As we were sat in the front row seats just behind the tour guide and the driver we were able to chat with them off mike and they were both really good blokes. The guy doing the commentary was informative and had a terrific sense of humor. And the driver was very friendly indeed. He even chucked in a couple of magic tricks to entertain us whilst people were off the bus! Good people indeed.

The tour was very good. It was informative and interesting. The girls with us aren't massive Beatles fans but all said how much they enjoyed it. I do think it helps when the tour guide is good fun!
The ONLY comment that's a bit negative is that it did feel a little bit rushed. I overheard the guys say they were running a bit late so that may explain things. But I don't think it spoilt the tour at all.
I would recommend this tour to anyone reading this.Great fun.
