Glen Parva Manor – Marston’s Two for One Pub – medieval manor house – close to bridge 95 – near town of Glen Parva (pg. 11 – East Midlands)
This medieval manor house was the ideal location for our 40th anniversary. Very large, with different sections within this Marston’s Two for One Pub. The Sunday 2 for 1 special was roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, but we arrived too late as they were already sold out. Instead we had the two for one steak and a delicious bread and butter pudding for dessert. Lots of activity as this pub is a favourite with the locals, plus was the “stop” point for an all day fishing derby, so great ambience. Located conveniently near bridge 9 on the canal system, so easy to get to either driving or boating.

My wife and I went here yesterday afternoon after a long time. Well this place could be a good pub and maybe even a good restaurant . At the moment it is neither. We had the two for one special rack of ribs and a steak. The steak was the worst I've ever had. Tuff as old boots . Sometimes it's nice to eat out but when the food is worse than what you can russel up yourself then why bother ? If you like junk and want a change from Maccies then go here ! I will stay away from now on as these chains don't care . This place needs new management with greater vision !

Sorry to say was just "ok" not as good as it used to be. Gammon steak was quite small and fatty with a handful of chips, chicken dinner looked a bit grey and other than large yorkshire not alot of side.
Not over impressed.
