“A Special Place!”
Reviewed 25 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We have an unusual family! Two little kids and two grown up kids and a permanent wheel chair using Daddy! Finding a place , not only big enough for the 6 of us , but one that accommodates a disabled person and isn't ugly - is a major undertaking! However The Old Chapel ticks all the boxes, beautiful property, so well planned and renovated. A sheer delight, quiet but central enough for tourist activities! Already booked for next year! Well done Fraser and Rebecca!

“Beautiful setting”
Reviewed 28 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

The Old chapel is a unique and beautiful place to stay. Arriving on a cold and wet day it was nice to be able to have the wood burner blazing within minutes of us getting there. We used this loads and it warmed the place beautifully - there was ample fuel provided too. The garden was a particular delight and both myself and my grandson loved it . the old chapel gave us plenty to smile about, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the old chapel to anyone who is looking for a tranquil place to stay.

“A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL”
Reviewed 12 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Second visit to property and again, wonderful. Arrived to a warm welcome with the log fire up and running and a fantastic Victoria (home made) sponge cake. Visited with my cousin from Canada, Margaret and Dave. (they loved it) also in the party my other cousin Malcolm and Karen with lovely little Jack (he loved the adventure with his new mate Ian) not forgetting us Kevin Margaret and Ian. Lots of smashing home made food, thanks to my wonderful wife (always in the kitchen) Will return. thanks.

This is a beautiful place to stay. It has lovely views of the Lakeland fells, a superb interior and lovely quaint country cottage garden. The owners were very efficient with booking etc. we even had homemade chocolate brownies on arrival. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.
