Being a history buff I wished to experience the Pantiles and visit Chartwell House (14 miles away) the family home of the great Sir Winston Churchill. The hotel is perfectly placed on a hill but only about 6 minutes walk to the town centre where there is an abundance of cafés and restaurants. The hotel building is Victorian but the interior has recently been refurbished and is very contemporary. We were in room 2 which was on the small side. Would suggest light sleepers avoid this room due to the muffled drone of the hotel extractor fan. The hotel did not have a welcoming factor but its early days and I must compliment the chambermaids they were friendly and kept the rooms spotlessly clean-thank you. O'h one more thing its hit and miss with car parking, we were lucky.

Room Tip: Avoid room 2 if light sleeper. Car parking limited

Attended this hotel for the reception of my friends wedding. WOW!!! What a difference. I had been here once before about 3 years ago and since then it has been completely refurbished. The standard is extremely high and it has turned this hotel into a top class stay if your in Tunbridge Wells. Well situated at the top of Mount Ephraim. The rooms are all lovely, the food was of excellent quality however service a little slow but totally to be expected when serving such a large amount of people (100+). Food was pipping hot when received which is more important to me than having to wait. Staff were attentive and the Manager Jim - although actually a guest on the day - did not stop and jumped up for anyone who had a problem or needed anything. He is a credit to this hotel. Would highly recommend as a wedding venue for anyone and will be back again for dinner.

The Royal Wells was actual my second choice. Unfortunately my original choice of hotel wouldn’t allow us to check in before 3pm. Thankful The Royal Wells allowed us to check in for 1pm, this allowed us to get changed and attend a 2pm wedding. The room was lovely, clean, and very modern.

Unfortunately, we only spent a few hours in the hotel, from what I saw it was lovely, and the staff extremely friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was of a good standard.

If I were in the area again, I’d definitely stay here.

Room Tip: Avoid room 22. An indutrial fan that made noise during the night.

On our tour through Kent we visited Tunbridge Wells, a really lovely town, and stayed at this wonderful, just renovated , small and cozy hotel.
The room was wonderful, de bed was the best we had slept in so far and the towels in the bathroom are deliciously luxurious.
Every detail was taken care of.
The breakfast is served in a light and airy room and there is a lounge area and bar.
Wish we had time to spend another night there.

A fabulous venue with amazing staff.
We held a friends Afternoon Tea Hen Party here and it was perfect. The staff were very attentive, helpful and accommodating from the moment we walked in the door and made our initial enquiry to the moment we left after our event.
The 'Hen' was extremely happy and all our guests commented on what an amazing hotel and room we had booked.
I would recommend this hotel 110% for future events and gatherings to all as it really is an exquisite hotel.
The management should be very pleased and proud of their staff, they're a credit to the hotel.
