“Great location, beautifully appointed apartment”
Reviewed 18 October 2018 for a stay in August 2018

The Garden Apartment was handy to both the train station and High Street, and we found Winchester to be a lovely city in which to base ourselves on our holiday.
Two small things we feel we need to mention, that were NOT problems for us but might be for some: 1. There is a step up from the bedroom to the living area; and 2. The small square shower, typical of several we have had in self-caterings, does require "elbows-in" washing for a normal-sized person. The water pressure and temperature were fine, which is better than we have experienced in some other self-caterings.
The apartment was spacious, well organized, and quiet, in an excellent location, and we found Winchester to be delightful for exploring on foot. Caroline Rees made herself available for any questions we might have had, and she left excellent information about the apartment, internet access, etc. for us.
We would happily stay there again if we come back to Winchester in the future.

“Brilliant base to explore the South of England from.”
Reviewed 14 October 2018 for a stay in September 2018

This apartment has all you need for a excellent base to launch you daily excursions from. Within walking distance of all of Winchester's main historical attractions, pubs, restaurants and the like you wont need the car (for which there is a parking space) for too much at all. We loved it and without hesitation would book this location again - actually, if it was on the market we would buy it!!

“I'd love to stay again!”
Reviewed 4 August 2018 for a stay in July 2018

The apartment more than lived up to our expectations. It was comfortable, spacious, fully-equipped and offered off-road parking. A big advantage was its location, within 5 minutes walking distance of the High Street. Caroline was very hospitable and kindly got us out of a muddle when we overstayed our booking (psychologically we didn't want to leave!) We are looking forward to returning sometime in the near future and staying in this wonderful little apartment again!

“Marvellous place to stay.”
Reviewed 25 May 2018 for a stay in May 2018

Just a few minutes walk from the city centre, this modern and very well appointed apartment has off - street parking. It is spacious, comfortable, clean and has a small shared garden to sit in on hot days. Favourite attractions: Winchester Cathedral, The Water Cress Line Preserved Railway, Jane Austen's House, Stockbridge and Houghton Lodge Gardens. City shopping is great, complete with street entertainers (fire eating) and a busker. A live play was enjoyed at the local Theatre. Caroline and David made us most welcome and dealt very promptly with a minor problem.

“Excellent accomodation”
Reviewed 12 May 2018 for a stay in May 2018

The owners, David and Caroline, were on hand to give us any support we needed. We walked into the flat and immediately saw the roses and chocolates that they had left for us. What a lovely touch! The flat is close to the High Street, the bus station and the rail station. There is a bus stop very near to the flat that goes to a big Tesco for groceries. As we didn't have a car, this was most helpful, although just a few minutes down Middle Brook Street is a Sainsbury's and a Marks and Spencer with a food hall. There are lots of interesting shops in the pedestrianized High Street. Most of the tourist sites are within walking distance - the Cathedral, the Great Hall with the Round Table, the Mill, the Abbey Gardens. We took some day trips using the local buses.
