Over all amazing experience! Friendly staff clean rooms and great food. The free children meals were of the best quality and really recommend the restaurant.

Bar staff were polite and professional.

The only down side is as the staff were very young and lacking that little bit of life experience. Loved our stay!

Situated on the outskirts of Winchester, the hotel is best accessed by car. The hotel looks new and modern, and the rooms are a decent size. We had a toddler so the room had a nice z-bed with a comfortable mattress. It was great to be able to have a buffet breakfast and they have a good selection for breakfast. The best feature though has to be the electric car charge point which was great to be able to top up the car, shared with other drivers. Excellent location for various day trips such as Peppe Pig or the New Forest or the south coast.

I had a very pleasant lunch with a friend. I had a Greek salad and some brown bread. It was terrific.

If you are staying and or eating at the hotel you don't have to pay to park. Just let one of the staff know and you can park for free.

We stayed for 2 nights in July in 2 rooms. This was on our way home from first ever camping and I thought we would need the recovery. The campsite was much cleaner and staff 100x better (that was Mendip basecamp which I can’t recommend enough).

Issues;
Rooms were not next door as we would’ve liked - and I saw the people checking in next to both our rooms when we arrived - they could have easily Accommodated two together as requested but didn’t bother. In fact “didn’t bother” would be the attitude of most staff here.
Our room had a used empty water bottle in it when we arrived, and a missing remote (which the nice guy from maintenance brought up promptly). The people next to us going on were greeted with a totally filthy room including pizza boxes etc. There was also a box of empty beer bottles in the corridor which several staff (cleaning and not) passed and it stayed there for hours.
The rooms are tired - stained chairs and curtains, a desk chair that you’d stick on freecycle with the leather worn away.
We ate at the ODyessy restaurant. Food was mediocre, service was begrudging - server was slightly better by the end to be fair and I’m
Sure it’s not the most pleasant place to work but it was like we were a nuisance - it wasn’t busy maybe only 4 tables in there.
On the second day, key cards predictably deactivated as they assume you’d only stay one night in this pit. went down to reception, no apology, surly reception man. Decided to shrug it off. Got into the rooms and they hadn’t been serviced despite leaving early when cleaners in corridor and leaving the ‘please service’ sign on door. Went back to reception to point out hadn’t been serviced and the man/boy there was v rude, saying “at what point did you fill in the request for a service form?” And shrugging. This was not now mentioned at check in. What’s the point of giving us the ‘service please signs?’ Reception man shrugs. Politely asked for apology, wouldn’t give it!!!!! How bad is it that?!
Breakfast was fine, nice servers on duty, food quality not great but we didn’t expect it to be.

Pros;
Kids eat free with adult food.
Meal deal two adults two course plus drink is £40.
The reception/lobby is newly done and looks good.

This place is more expensive than premier inn et al - please go there instead, the service and attitude can’t be any worse. Don’t give your money to these people!

Helpful and accommodating when I had to change dates. Requested ground floor room not overlooking car park and that’s exactly what I got. Room was very clean (serviced by Emma and Charlotte) and the bed comfortable. Lovely bathroom. All in all a nice room. Nice modern bar and lounge area. Excellent dinner and breakfast. All the staff were so obliging and helpful. I did tell Tom (one of the managers on duty this morningat breakfast ) what a pleasant stay it had been.
