We recently stayed at the Premier Inn at Southsea; all the Reception Staff were very helpful and friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and airy and we were lucky to have a sea facing view which meant we could watch all the Ships coming into port.

The location of this hotel is marvellous for the Hovercraft over to the Isle of Wight and to visit Portsmouth attractions.

The Brewer's Fare attached to the hotel is very busy but the food including the breakfasts are good value for money and of good quality. The fairground is to the side of the hotel but this is not a noisy problem as it does not stay open until late and the hotel windows close the day time noise off very well if you want a snooze during the day. The rooms are air conditioned.

In summary this is a lovely happy and fun place to stay and we would most certainly stay again.

Many thanks

Room tip: Ask for a room with a Sea View

Stayed overnight at end of July on the way to France, the rooms were very clean and well proportioned we were in an area within the hotel which was nice and quite. We had to walk for 15 mins to the nice shopping area by the Spinnaker which is excellent.

Having stayed at a number of Premier Inns this followed the usual formula with very helpful staff, a big comfortable bed and great pillows in a decent sized room. Soap/Shampoo in dispensers by the sink and over bath shower. A kettle and a couple of teabags/coffee packets and some milk containers complete the facilities. Breakfast is extra and can be added on booking if required which we did not. The big boon was the air conditioning which we were asked if we wanted on by the helpful receptionist on arrival which on a sweltering day was a real boon for sleeping. The receptionist also gave us a map and directions for a 20 minute walk to Gunwharf Quay shopping centre. this saved us moving the car as we did not want to lose our space under the hotel.

Room tip: On the front overlooking playing fields but the road only leads to a car park and was quiet.
