“Will come back again”
Reviewed 29 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

My family and I had a wonderful time staying in the lodge. We booked a short weekend break to ‘recharge our batteries’ and to explore the New Forest. However having arrived at the lodge we were so spolit with the level of comfort and luxury we ended up spending 60% of the break just in the lodge. It was great.

Firstly, the very detailed instructions the owner sent us a few days before our break was a great introduction of what we could look forward too and allowed us to plan so we did not need to take too much stuff since a lot of the items was already provided and available. Also the booklet allowed us to get ourselves familiarly with the alarm and gadgetry so we did not waste time trying to figure things out on the day.

We loved the feeling of being left to ourselves, and that the lodge was for our full enjoyment and privacy during our time there, at the same time we were given contact details if we did need help so it was nice to enjoy that peace and family time.

Loved the hot tub and the media system, everything was easy to use and we were able to enjoy a good soak followed by a Blu ray film at the end of the day when our daughter was asleep.

Kitchen was a very good size and stocked with everything we needed to make a meal, plus an addition of a dishwasher was a joy for me who did not need to spend the time washing up.

The sleeping area was very good and of high quality, the mattress are soft and comfortable, each bedroom has a wonderful skylight so we could have nature light flooding in when I just wanted to relax and read in the bedroom. Very nice.

Bathroom was again very nice and the water pressure and hot water system was great. Only minor thing was the spare toilet being too small for an average male, it was too cramp a space but is ideal for kids.

Only minor gripe was the lack of signage to direct us to the entrance of the lodge, unfortunately the day we arrived it was pouring with rain so while myself and daughter waited in the car my husband had to make a quick dash along the lane looking behind bushes and trees to find the entrance to the lodge. Maybe a photo showing the path from the gravel parking to the lodge would help future guest.

Overall, we really had a wonderful time and came away relaxed. Will definitely recommend and would love to come back when we are in the area.

Stayed a couple of days at this great little place. It exceeded my expectations and everything you could want was provided - the owners thought of everything. Will definitely return!

“Perfect Base to Explore the New Forest Hampshire and Dorset”
Reviewed 2 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Overall this is a really great and special Holiday Rental. Unusual in a really good way. Set in its own safe and secure location. Perfect for couples or families.

Packed out with Boys toys such as the bose sound system which made having a morning shower a great experience with the light up shower head and Bob Marley pumping out from the bathroom speakers.

The owner provides a handy electronic Guide emailed to you with all the details of the property.

TVs in every room ensured that you got a lie in as the kids could sit and watch the TV in the morning.

The fully retracting doors opening the lodge to the decked area make alfresco dining a great experience.

Not forgetting the hot tub which we had to kick the kids out of so we could relax in.

Parking is safe and not a problem even though its on the side of the road it was never an issue.

There is enough space to store bikes etc if you have them, though bring your locks.

In the evening the place really comes alive with the outdoor lighting and the blue lighting in the kitchen area. The Kitchen looks like a night club bar once its dark (i'm sure that's the intention) its very cool.

We did have a couple of very minor issues on arrival but resolved by the owner promptly.

The only negative is that it does not have an oven. Which is OK if your a couple and intend to eat out a lot. but as a family and cost of eating out is high its a bit of a challenge. we managed OK though, just worth noting, there is a space and i would advise the owner to look at this.

Overall though a lovely and cool place to stay would highly recommend.

Thanks for a great Stay!

“Luxury Lodge! Absolutely fantastic!”
Reviewed 12 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

The lodge is gorgeous and has all the mod cons you could ever need! Kitchen was stocked with essentials for when we arrived which was a really nice touch. Done to a very high standard. Fabulous, luxurious, romantic break. Setting is gorgeous and very private. Location is great - lots of things to see and do in the New Forest, it is just beautiful! If you like fish we recommend SevenFish restaurant in Ringwood.
The owner is great - always responds to emails/phone calls.
The only thing we did miss was having an oven.
Overall, we were very impressed, couldn't fault it and can't speak highly enough, we will definitely be back in the future :)
