Myself and my wife with our 18 month old daughter joined our family for two nights stay.
The property is in a great location however it certainly was not perfect. Two of the bedrooms are extremely small with sloping ceilings and you cannot fit a cot bed in them successfully.
The property is shared with a lodge at the rear and you do not get much privacy if this is being used. Parking was also a problem and there seems to be a disused car, parked outside on the grass, which looks strange!
Inside, the property is well kitted out with technology, but the wifi is useless. The hot tub is lovely but both showers need upgrading as water pressure is very weak.
We come from a very similar beautiful part of the south west and feel that this property is nice but totally overpriced for what you get!

We had a really enjoyable stay at Forest Corner. The coulour picture quide is really useful and helpful, and we felt we knew how to work everything as soon as we arrived. The cottage has plenty of parking and overlooks the National Park and a large village green. Inside, it was spotless and packed with technology and home creature comforts like an open log fire and wood burner.
We were never disturbed by anything and it's so peaceful and tranquil with all the wildlife coming to the fence and gates.
We read the few reviews that said upstairs was cramped, well it's far from that. Yes, it is smaller than downstairs, but downstairs is big! There are sloping ceilings, that's part of the charm of the cottage, but I'm over 6ft tall and never once did I have any problem the ceilings are normal so 7 or 8ft at a quess. The beds are super comfy and normal king size so pleanty big enough for a 6ft 6in person. There's a family bathroom, separate shower, sink and toilet. The bath is also a really nice size.
All in all we had a brilliant relaxing time and will be back. Thanks!
Joined my Mum, step dad, sister and brother in law. I had travelled down with my wife and my 1 year old son and my sister and brother in law had travelled with my niece. So, all in all there were 6 adults and 2 young children. The cottage was/is advertised to sleep 6 comfortably. Now, I hasten to add that this is not the case. The middle room which has a double bed squeezed into it has barely enough room to maneuver in. After the first night I had to sleep alone on the bed settee in the lounge downstairs as I am 6ft tall and couldn't actually fit length ways in the bed. The sofa bed btw is very old and most unforgiving on your back after 2 days. I left the cottage hoping to be refreshed but found myself totally drained. My only saviour was the Hot tub which I cannot praise enough. The shower downstairs was broken and just dribbled on you more than anything else. This cottage was clearly needing some TLC. I found the guide somewhat patronising if I'm honest, 70 pages long and over illustrated. The Parking..... Again, I have read that there is parking for 5 cars? We had 3 vehicles, 2 parked directly in front of the house over the cattle grid which meant I parked before the cattle grid. The guide clearly stipulates not to park on the grass but there were two abandoned rotting vehicles there when we arrived. If you are after privacy you get it to a degree until someone staying in the static home situated to the rear of the house walks bye. Quite disconcerting when not expecting it. The forest was beautiful as always.

Stayed here for 3 nights in November and even though the weather wasn't great, it didn't stop us from having a lovely stay at Forest Corner. The cottage is modern and clean, great facilities and loved the positioning, was lovely to wake up and see some of the New Forest ponies grazing on the green next to the cottage.
The owners provide a really useful booklet of where everything is in the cottage and how to use it. The hot tub was an added bonus and lovely to relax in after a walk in the forest. Just be careful if there are different people staying in the additional accommodation as they have to walk right past where the hot tub is to access their place. Luckily we weren't disturbed at all but just something to point out.
Owners were extremely prompt in returning the damages deposit, money was transferred over the day we returned, very efficient!
Thanks for a lovely stay and if we return to the New Forest for a holiday would definitely considering renting Forest Corner again.
The booking procedure was smooth - good communication with the owner. The cottage was easy to find with parking for 2 of the cars in front of the house and the other car outside on the grass.
The downstairs of the cottage is perfect. The set up, the space and the amenities - you could not ask for more - a real home from home. However, the upstairs was an issue. 6 adults and 2 children. There were 3 double beds and 1 cot - no bed for the other child to sleep. 1 large en suite room, 1 smaller room and 1 tiny room with hardly enough head space. You are getting a bum deal if you end up in the small room.
The back garden is a little scruffy. The main reason we booked the cottage was for the hot tub. Members of the group felt that the hot tub smelt unpleasant, so much so that we phoned the owner. I am pleased to say he answered our call straight away and said that he regularly cleaned and checked the hot tub.
If booking you need to be aware that the renters of the other holiday accomodation access their place down the side of the cottage and through the garden - therefore privacy may be an issue.
The internet service is painfully slow (as is the service on mobile phone) so I recommend printing off all the gumph the owner sends before you leave. Little point in trying to access or download it from your phone whilst you are there.
Only real grumble is the fact that I had to contact the owner some 6 weeks later for the return of my deposit.
I would say perfect cottage for 4 adults + children.
