Professional and friendly staff. Pretty gardens, good typically British food. We really enjoyed out short stay and would highly recommend the old world charm of this family run hotel. Stow is an attractive vibrant village which is a great place to use as a base for visits around the Cotswolds.
The only reason we didn't rate excellent is that we really don't think that bathrooms should have carpets and that that sofas in the hotel lounge were a bit ugly and uncomfortable after a while.

Room Tip: There are rooms in the hotel or the coach house. We stayed in room overlooking the church in the hotel. Very pretty and quiet.

What a pleasent surprise Stow Lodge was for us! The family-run lodge is well-run by enthusiastic and friendly staff. It was a delight to especially see young people learn the hospitality trade demonstrating attention to detail and interest in the clientele. The restaurant food was fabulous with new dinner offerings every night. The lodge grounds and town location were perfect, lending to a delightful Cotswolds experience.

This was one of two hotels we stayed at in the Cotswolds, and it was our favorite. Friendly staff, good breakfast served quickly, lovely clean room, excellent central location. Stow-in-the-Wold makes a nice home base for the Cotswolds, with lots of shops and restaurants. Ask locals about walking paths and the alleged Lord of the Rings door by the church.

Have been visiting for several years and feel that this hotel is something really special. It’s old world charm and tradition of old fashioned service is not found very often. The food is well cooked and served beautifully by very attentive staff. Cannot wait to go back again!!

We had dinner in the bar.

Strange waiter who made you feel quite uncomfortable.

The bar was very busy we were seated at a table then asked to move as a couple staying in the hotel wanted it.

I had nut and lemon bake which wasn't very nice at all very dry and to much lemon.

My husband had a pasta dish which he did enjoy and the rice pudding was lovely.

when we got back to our hotel realised we had been over charged call them and they agreed and refunded the money.

not a great experience.
