Clientele were all jolly and mainly families on holiday or groups attending weddings. A really good atmosphere.
Recently reopened in July everything has a very new feel to it.
The room was comfortable, great bed, spacious and everything works. It has been very nicely refitted throughout, all seating and dining areas were comfortable and well laid out.
The restaurant was really good and well attended, some usual themes in a sort of up market pub food menu, but thankfully not another try hard gastro pub. Just well considered tasty dishes and and interesting drinks menu. We ate there for lunch and breakfast - all delicious.
Service was holiday pace, absolutely not hurried, very relaxed.
Seating works really well for groups.
Fantastic outdoor dining in the garden, and the kitchen has a wood fired oven for great pizzas etc.
Importantly for Stow it is not on any of the main roads so traffic noise is low, it also has parking - gold dust.
Pricing was not cheap but I really liked it and it did feel like value for money.
If you go on business you will need to ask for travel essentials like an iron these are not a stock item in the room.More
