We have just come back from a night away at number four at stow.

Could not fault the stay from start to finish. The reception we received when we arrived was very welcoming.

The room was a good size and well presented. The bed was very comfortable and the room was facing out across the gardens.

We decided to dine in the restaurant in the evening after a day out in stow. The food was excellent throughout the three courses.

My wife had the fishcake and I has the cider poached beetroot . For mains we both had the roast English partridge which was cooked perfectly.

Dessert we opted for the chocolate, orange and cardamom pot which were both lovely.

The service through was attentive but not too intrusive and there was a nice friendly atmosphere.

Breakfast was just as good with some different options than just your full English breakfast. I chose the eggs royale which was really nice and my wife had the full English breakfast.

We will definitley be staying at number four at stow again in the near future and recommending the hotel and restaurant to our friends.

The only thing we did not receive with booking a table in the restaurant while staying was our complimentary glasses of fizz at dinner. But we also forgot to mention it to the staff while dinning.

Fantastic place, good food and great location close to the centre of stow.

We spent two nights, but would have stayed longer if time had permitted, and were very happy to stay there. The rooms were bright and clean and the washroom and other facilities were first rate. The hotel quiet and calm. Staff were very helpful and courteous to a fault.
After a few days in some sixteenth century stone cottage or similar older stone hotel, the mod cons of this place were very welcome. Restaurant was great and the breakfast indulgent...too much food for us but the other guests certainly tucked in.
Would be my first choice for a Cotswold vacation.

Felt room 101 needed redesigning - chiefly a smaller bed to accommodate size of room whereby one could sit facing the television screen rathr than having no choice but to get into or on the over-sized bed which was extremely comfortable.

We travelled to Stow for a two night break with my 80 year old Mum who struggles with her walking. The hotel was brilliant. The staff, particularly Chris, was so helpful and accommodating. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms could probably do with a bit of redecoration in the future but overall they were great. Tea and coffee facilities were good and we were even given a daily jug of fresh milk to keep in our fridge in the room. I was particularly impressed by the Moulton Brown shower/shampoo products. Everything was replenished daily and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.
The breakfast was excellent. Great choice of hot or cold food and it came served on hot plates and was just delicious.
We chose to stay in the hotel in the evening and again the evening meal was very good. The restaurant was small and friendly and we were really pleased with the quality of the food. Our bill was quite high but this was more to do with the gin and tonics we chose to have before our meal and the sneaky brandy at the end of the evening!! I can not recommend this hotel enough and look forward to visiting it again. Thank you.
